Stereotypes are welcome, especially funny and quirky ones, so don't be cruel. And don't just say "people are the same wherever you go." I'm not talking about basic survival and psychosocial needs. I mean manners, behaviors, and tendencies. Tell me where you're from too.

Can someone please give me the chapter and verse in the Bible that talks about the "spirit realm being more real than the physical realm"?

I've looked everywhere and can't find it.

*i don't mean to generalize all of you

I've noticed that a lot of people here respond to the arrogant questions and then complain later that all of these trolls should be deleted and that they're deleted the good people's accounts instead. Can I just say something? Have you ever thought of why they post arrogant questions and what they want? All they want is attention from people and they want to be known as a popular spammer... they want a lot of people to answer their questions, and that's what they get as I can see! Maybe if nobody answers their questions, they'll get bored and go spam on some other bored... so please next time do not respond to arrogant questions. Thanks! (you can reply and say your opinion)

I find little fault with the "teachings" of the bible. I do however understand that things can be lost in translation. I also understand that man has tampered with the bible over the years. (fact) Now do you expect me to believe that a loving God will punish me for using a brain of His design? I think many Christian focus so much on the reward/punishment that they forget the point. Be good to one another. I can not accept that a boy in China grows up a buddist dies and goes to a Hell. And if you insist that that is just the way it is he had a choice and all that jazz. Then How do you think, even with all the faith in the world, you serve a just God. I simple find that hard to believe. And that is just one example. With so many things pointing away from this being logical then do you really expect people to believe?

It's been a while since I felt ready to try to jump on to the relationship bandwagon, but I feel like it's time to try again. I just have one problem (I can't believe I'm publicizing this) - I have some serious SERIOUS trust issues. My last serious guy cheated on me like CRAZY and I didn't find out until after he took off on me (2 1/2 year relationship). Ever since then I feel this intense need to maintain control of EVERYTHING relationship-wise, and I think that drives some guys crazy. Either that or I just remain emotionless and cold (I'm a Virgo, hee hee) and it eventually drives them away.

I'm a warm guy with a big heart and I want to give it to someone, but I don't know how to cope with this. Any ideas? P.S. - this is like the first real question I've asked on here!

What is the point of being so closed minded & ego focused?

A cult member visited my site to argue doctrine. I told him the site isn't set up for a two-way but my forum is. On the forum, I welcomed hearing what he believes and why, but now he is attempting to answer doctrinal questions addressed to the Christians there and we don’t need that confusion. The few strong Christians there are away on vacation. So, I'm alone right now and I can’t keep up with his many and long posts that require dissecting each line to give a proper retort. I’ve prayed about the matter, and I wonder: Do I bounce him from the group, although it's not conducive to his salvation? Do I tell him he’s welcome to discuss his beliefs but not to respond to theological questions meant for Christians in the group? Do I ignore him and hope he gets discouraged and leaves, since I already warned newer Christians there that his theology is not Biblical? Do I just wait until the other mature Christians return to help out? Would Christians here be willing to lend a hand?

im american and i hate it when americans say, oh the british accent bla bla bla, its not an accent ok?! they founded the US so b fucken greatful, that the way u are suppose to talk. in the US there are so many different accents, theres the southern one where u kinda sound like a hill billy, there the New york one that they talk really fast and pernounce patato patata, there is the latino one that really gets on my nerves and u ask "are u speaking english?" and then there is the african american one, that u really have to kinda listen really hard to find out what what they are saying becase sometimes they make up words for other words like fachizle,
most americans im not saying all, find the english accent breath takeing, i do and mostly in movies or in plays the old professer or doctor or someone with a lot of class in usally British. I dont no why, anyways as for my accent, eh, its average, i come from california, i dont talk fast, but i talk a lot and kinda monotone. whats ur opion

Do americans realize what they are doing? By their attitudes, bigotry, ignorance, and ungodliness, they are making unwilling enemies of those they persecute? How dumb is that?!?! You can demean, degrade, and dehumanize someone to the point where they will become what you fear them to be!!! Can they be stopped before it is too late?

I'm wondering what they believe because I have heard a lot people saying some really mean things about them & what they believe. I always try to respect the beliefs of others even if they are way different from mine. I would hate to asked them something that would hurt there feelings or offend them. (Note: I am not wanting to convert or anything just I would like to know what they believe)

What do they believe

Who is Jesus Christ? I have heard that they believe that he is Micheal the archangel (but this may not be true I don't know)

Do they believe in the Trinity?

Do they believe people have an immortal soul, that when we die do we go to heaven or hell.

What do they believe about other Christians & how to they feel towards them. (example: Catholics, Baptists, Methodists)

Why do the Jehovah Witness's look funny at me when I say God bless you to them?

I hope I have not offended any one by asking this question.Thank you all for your time

Ok, here’s the sitch: I have been bringing someone to church with me for a couple of months, who has a drinking problem and has refused to get help from any other sector. Now, I wasn’t sure how much she understood of the messages on Sunday and I wondered whether she had any questions about what she was hearing. Due to her alcohol problem, I also didn’t want her to go from Sunday to Sunday without some encouragement in between, so I started a home Bible study with her on Wed. nights. For the past two Sundays, she has not shown up for church and now says that she enjoys our studies so much more than the Sunday message. Other than the Apostle Paul’s exhortation not to “forsake the gathering of ourselves together”, what should I say to impress upon her that once a week is not enough and that our Bible study should not take the place of attending church?
