Why do some people give a thumbs down for answers that are based on historical and/or liturgical facts rather than just what has been taught or what is popular in R & S?

I've been having an interesting debate through e-mail with a fellow Y!Answers user (who I will leave anonymous out of respect for him) about what qualifies as a "Christian" these days.

I say Catholics, Protestants, Methodists, Lutherans, Mormons, JW's, etc are all under the Christianity heading, while he says that there is only one true sect of Christianity and the others aren't even considered Christians.

Who do you think has the correct argument here?

Jesus said it at the Sermon on the Mount. It seems like a significant verse to me. What did he do to "light up" those ordinary people? Did he teach them how to worship in spirit? Did he already give them the Gift of God? My reference: middle chapters at http://gospelenigma.com

In the past, I have said "Habla mas despacio, por favor" and it has worked, but I think I need to use "Hable" instead of "Habla." Any advice would be appreciated. Gracias. :)

I met this cute guy in college. I noticed that everytime we got into his car he would lock the door. Also the second he got out he would lock the door. Even if we had to run to the store for like 2 min he would lock the door. He would lock his apt door also in the same situations. One time I left my purse in his car and he was like why would you do that. He ran down outside to get my purse for me. It was night not like anyone would even see it. When I told my parents this they asked me to ask him where he was from. It turns out hes from Chicago. When I told my parents this they fliped and forbid me to hang out with him anymore. They said he was from a bad neighbor hood and the the apple doesnt fall far from the tree. How can they forbid me to hang out with someone? Im fricken 19! Then when they found out he was part Italian they fliped out even more. When I told him this he thought I was joking but he seemed really hurt. Why does he always lock his doors?

I meant the extensive human bomb children used by Islamic extremist in Kashmir against Indian Army troop. Even the Kashmir rebels did used children as human shield against Indian troops - Islam and its teaching is used extensively to propagate parents of the children or anyone to commit such acts.

Children are innocent and sacrificing them for the well being of the community or any organization is simply crude evil.

Uncivilized and barbaric men in ancient times did scarified children once a while for the betterment of their community but civilized, educated, religious and intellectual society of the 21st century who blows up so many children to protest or fight against any claim or war is too much to conceive with the proper emotions..

Say theres a man who has killed tons of people,. and he is due to be executed, or he spent his life in prison and is about to die, just before he dies (in either situation) he asks God for forgiveness for the people he killed and the lives he destroyed. Does that mean he goes to Heaven?

I laugh at them and said well if you pay for my airfair and buy me house house out there and pay my bills I would go back. When i told my family how i went about things the told me that i was stupid and i should have went off on that person instead of giving in like that. But i told them that thats what that person would expect from me . And i'm that kind of person who likes to go out of the box and othing people don't expect from me. Do you think i was wrong?
