Zeus is a mythological person. Jesus was an actual human being. Never the twain shall meet. If some people actually think the two are the same, they are very ignorant, indeed.
Good luck and may God bless you.

It is a roundabout reason, but the reason is because we call Jesus by Zeus' name. Zeus is derived from the Greek word Deus (indeed, any form of Zeus other than the nominative case is spelled with a D instead of a Z). God gets called things like Deus Pater (God the Father, literally). Therefore, Jesus is technically Deus Filius (if my latin is correct, and I am not possitive it is; means God the Son). However, I have never heard of Zeus and Jesus being connected so that really is only a guess.

However, Jesus is usually paired with Mithris more often than Zeus.

Zeus comes from Dyeus. Dyeus is the indo-european (aryan) all-father. Also known as Jupiter, Tiwaz, and Dis Pater in other European religions.

the NAME Jesus would probably come from the Celtic god Esus (only 1 letter off). Although I don't think Semitic Mythology and European Mythology should be confused as one. Jesus is NOT Zeus.

Because both of them are myths! But actually Jesus is closer identified with Dionysus than Zeus--Zeus (spelled D(elta)-eus, in the original Greek--which was pronounced Thyoos, because there exists no letter "D" in the Greek alphabet--is the one identified with the Christian "God" (Deus, Theos, or Dei)!
