Do americans realize what they are doing? By their attitudes, bigotry, ignorance, and ungodliness, they are making unwilling enemies of those they persecute? How dumb is that?!?! You can demean, degrade, and dehumanize someone to the point where they will become what you fear them to be!!! Can they be stopped before it is too late?

To all of those who say I'm generalizing and say "not me!", let me remind you, you are the ones saying that we Muslims need to stand agianst the minority who ar"giving us a bad name.". Where are your outcries against the haters and bigots in your midst?
And I am an american, white skin and all.

"Who are we persecuting?"??? Are you serious??? How about Iraq? How about Iran? How about enabling Israel to persecute Lebanon and Palestine? And a dozen other nations,

I'm American myself, and i completely agree with you. My God we don't think of how much we generalize, then complain about generalizations about ourselves.
I love my country, i really do. But we need to start realizing that we aint perfect.
God bless.

I am an American. I have spent a great deal of my life promoting understanding toward others, and have always been willing to study cultures and traditions other than my own. I do not knowingly demean, degrade or dehumanize anybody, and if I should accidentally do so, I am quite willing to apologize for my oversights.
For all of our collective faults, I've found that Americans are extremely charitable people. When there is a disaster either at home or abroad, Americans will be among the first to give generously to alleviate suffering. Many Americans openly fight against human rights violations around the world, and are quite active in promoting global humanitarian efforts.
You're quick to criticise Americans, but how is your question helping promote peace and goodwill?

You paint all Americans with a broad brush.
There are many here among us who realize that the government is not representing "we the people"but is representing the corporations like Halaburton and Citibank.
Old enemies are becoming fast friends.I noticed China and Russia just completed a summit and America was not invited.
Our news media is not reporting on anything that might upset the apple cart and scare people.(If it was left up to the American press we probably wouldn't have known about the crisis with the world's money.(I mean,it's so close to Labor day and stuff, why not let folks enjoy the last holiday of the summer before breaking the bad news?Maybe things will get better before then!)
People are being treated like mushrooms(kept in the dark and fed manure.Paris Hilton, indeed!)
When the chickens come home to roost,so to speak,it will be as mentioned in The Bible at Matt.19:30."But many that are first will be last and the last first."
The disenfranchised ,poor, oppressed powerless people here, will be recognized as not having anything to do with the world policy.
And all that money and precious belongings will be a testimony to a person's level of greed.
Trust me, Jehovah has already issued the warning.

Who are you speaking of? Who is being persecuted? I know there is a lot of anti-Islam bigotry in the states, but come on, "to the point where they will become what you fear"? When you make threats (yes, it was a threat) like that, even on behalf of someone else, you only reinforce negative images.
Look at us nonbelievers: we are the "most distrusted" minority in America, according to a survey performed by the University of Minnesota. Talking heads ridicule us every day. It's socially acceptable to chastise us publicly, yet we never consider taking up arms against others. Keep the discourse civil, even in the face of hateful ignorance, and hopefully others' perceptions will change. That's all you can do.

does anyone else realize, that we have 7 Navy flotillas circling the globe at any given time, each with enough firepower to simply destroy all human life on this planet 5 times over?
and that one of these days some pathetic little country that perceives some religious insult from us will push us too far, and simply cease to exist?
do you realize that America imports most of our oil and raw materials, not because we do not have them. we actually have more oil in Alaska than most of the middle east combined. and more lumber and steel capabilities than any single other country. but we do not use it, we buy it from everyone else, so that when the s**t hits the fan, we can do exactly what we did in WW2, out produce all of our enemies on a global scale. and bring to bear military power the likes of which the world has never seen.
however, all of this can be stopped, simply by leaving us alone.
funny huh? everyone hates us so much, but the waiting list of people trying to get into this country is so very long.
i have no problems with anyone else. i just want what everyone else wants, to be left alone to live my life.
America did not start this. ball of crap that we are all dealing with. all that we did was try to live free. others can't seem to stand the thought that someone somewhere is HAPPY.

Do you realize that people are doing the same things to americans? By the way they "think" we are? Not all americans are alike, just like everyone who is not american is not a terrorist. The degrading, and dehumanizing goes both ways. Our attitudes are just the same as all others , we will stop at nothing to protect our own.

Go look in the Fed Ex and UPS and Postal Books.
ALL MUSLIM NATIONS, without exception BAN Items MADE IN ISRAEL
America has no such rules.
Go preach your Bigotry to Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Somlia, Liberia, Saudia Arabia, UAE and about 20 other nations.
THEY pick on ONE NATION based on BIGOTRY
America won't let you import HEROIN, COCAINE and a few other objects
They don't CARE where it came from
America doesn't say NO HEROIN from Pakistan, it's UNIVERSAL
NO Heroin from ANYWHERE
America SINGLES OUT NO NATION
Except Cuba and North Korea, that is true. Sad but true.
NOW Justify to us why NO GOODS FROM ISRAEL is cool!
Of course, some ARABS and PERSIANS do own UZI'S
That's an ISRALIE MACHINE GUN
That's called an OXYMORN
It's all ILLEGAL, technically.
But since it's a WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION I guess they give it an exemption!
By the way, GREECE banned MUSLIM MOSQUES until last year
So please go pick on the BIGOTED GREEKS who hold a grudge dating back to the 300 SPARTANS who held off 1 million PERSIAN MUSLIMS in a war.

Wow! So you can just say "Americans?" I did not realize that YOU could say this about us. Well maybe some Americans. Not this one though. You should not make these kind of statements directed at all of us when, in reality, there are many more GREAT Americans as opposed to what you suggest. Get your facts straight buddy.
Edit: Wow I am so happy you added details cause now I know what to do with you. You need to leave the country immediately. Islam is a false religion. You here me. FALSE. Why doesn't the muslim community, the ones who are not blowing themselves up, step up and explain why we should trust them.
From the Koran: The Cow Verse 191 "And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers."
The Cow Verse 193: "And fight with them until there is no persecution, and religion should be only for Allah, but if they deist, then there should be no hostility except against the oppressors."
Wow your god is so loving. So, basically if we don't believe in Islam we might as well be dead. So, you are saying I might as well be dead. Islam preaches hate. This is one good example. I'm sure I'll find more.
Oh and the Jews are God's chosen people. Not Islam.
As a Christian we are taught to love and pray for our friends as well as our enemies. I don't think of you or Islam as my enemy, but you're close. So, I pray for you. Why does your God insist on killing when you should pray. Think about it.

DO you live in the USA? I take strong offense against that as my brother is part of the US and I support my country! I may not always agree with some of the things my president decides to do but I support my country. I f you do live in the US I think you need to do one of 3 things 1) GET OUT! 2) Try showing some support 3) Get involved with the government and do it better! If you think you can!

You're doing the same thing my friend, not all Americans are like that. My only attitude, my only group I am bigoted against is well, bigots. I can't stand racism, sexism, homophobia, or in this case, blind nationalism - Same basic concept of racism, but based on nations (i.e. Francophobia, Anti-Americanism). As far as ignorance, I'm assuming you're using it as a synonym for intolerance, but on ignorance - everyone is ignorant to something. Ignorance is a lack of knowledge. Ungodliness, none of us are "godly." As none of us are Gods, none of us are close to being a god. I myself am an atheist - not an anti-theist as many paint atheists as, just an atheist - one without faith. I try not to demean, degrade, or dehumanise anyone. I'm not the one running the rogue US government - As a matter of fact, most Americans are against the state of the nation as it is, most Americans want it to change.
Who exactly needs to be stopped? Our government, yes, it can be, and in many respects needs to be, the American people? They are no threat to anyone.
