just curious whe did Mexicans become classed under white?

I know their are many that are mixed with white but you can say that for many other non white races...I go every year to Mexico and the majority have a good amount of aztec and mayan in them ...this is not meant to be a racist question so please?? Just curious when Mexicans started being labeleled whote as well

Really ....the theory that some of these people are saying is really useless.If you apply the same priniples than mulattoes should be consider white as they say Mexicans are white because they believe every Spanish conquistador had sex with all the native and had mixed children for generation and genertaion ....

they are not white and that chikity should read a bit more .

Well i suggest you do some more reading, history books might help. But let me put it in simple words for you. It was called Colonization. You know, same as the English, French and Spanish came to what is now called America. Well, same thing happened in Mexico, only it was mainly Spanish and French. So yes most Mexicans are what is called "mestizos", which doesn't mean Aztecs+white or Mayan + white. but all the other indigenous groups that formed (and still do) part of Mexico like Toltec, Aztecs, Mayans, Zapotec, Mixtec and many more. So yes when anyone of European decent would mix with someone of indigenous decent they would be called "mestizos". There are still a lot of European decedents living in Mexico, and have been there for 100's of years, some of them still haven't mixed . In addition to Europeans, you have Asians, and Blacks, and many more, but it's not really talked about in Mexico because there is not a lot of emphasis in race, the emphasis is more in the color of your skin (sad but true).

So there is your answer. Not all Whites are from the U.S or Europe. People don't stay in the same place all their lives you know. People immigrate, creating more diverse places, people, cultures. etc. There is a lot to learn and not enough time, but learn as much as you can, it will never hurt you, but only help you .

Maybe we should stop using the word white, "Caucasian"
seems more discriptive to the variety of us labeled white. I am not in favor of "Ilegal Imm." But I do believe we should stick to that issue, and not hit below the belt, The issue is already to explosive with good cause.We do not need added

The light skinned Mexi's are mostly Spanish europeans and the short dark skinned MEAN one's filling our prisons are Incan and Aztec and what else? Mexican's are hard workers when they 1st come here, but they chill out and become lazy like the rest of us in the U.S. We need to amend the Consititution to stop letting anyone who is born here from an illegal alien Mother, from becoming an American Citizen !!!!!! Enforce the illegal alien laws, and they will DEPORT themselves and go back to mexicalli, then we won't need a huge fence or Wall !!!!! Did you also know that illegal aliens from south of the border have KILLED over 40,000 Americans by Drunk driving and Brutal Murder since Sept. 11, 2001 ?!!!!? Many Mexicans are white just like some are black and others are mestizos (mixed with spaniard and Aztec blood). You should realize Hispanics are an ethnicity not a race. I'm Hispanic and we come in different colors, I've seen many who are blond and blue eyes, what would you classify them as?

When we first traveled to Spain, my wife and I were amazed that there were so many pretty white women with blonde or red hair -- we falsely thought they would all be more swarthy and black hair. Yes, some of the red and blonde hair may have been hair dyes, LOL

Mexicans are mostly Spanish, and thus very much white race. There are now three major white races: broad- round- and long-headed.

The so-called "white" race is not really white --look closely at that skin in good light. The current Epochal Revelation of Truth states that:

1. "whites" are actually an olive shade of the violet hue; and this so-called white race is not a pure race -- but a blend of up to nine early races.

2. these "white" genes are actually dominant over other genes; so the final mix of all humans on earth will be this so-called white race. The American Indian "red" race has been blended-in with the "white" race in the USA and they all look very white. I am 1/16 American Indian and largely German and French, some English; I look fully white, dark brown hair that is still mostly dark brown at age 68. (superior genes, ha ha)

3. Jesus here in Spirit still tells us that He is making of ONE BLOOD (ONE mixed race) all the races and nations of mankind. This could happen in about 300 to 1000 more years here.

4. After all of the present nine human races are fully mixed, then a greater differential will appear here. Possibly more advanced Humans will be able to discern the different SOUL colors, and have to continue Human unifications on a higher soul level.

5. Then 1st- through 7th Spirit-level stage differentiations will in stages become more obvious, and higher freewill unifications will happen.

6. In Spirit we are all called to be One in our Loving Father.

7. True God-conscious personal religion is a higher attractive force than mere skin color. In Truth, we are all potentially spiritually EQUAL Brothers and Sisters in the Family of God.

8. Personality is unique and does not ever mix. Each Human is an "I am of I AM" who never changes in time or in Eternity.

Mexicans are usually labeled as Hispanic, Latino, or La Raza. Never have I seen them classified as white or should they be because they are their own people with a unique culture and history that belongs to them.

Because some of them are of pure European decent. Granted the number is few but I am sure their are some families that still have or are close to having ,for lack of a better term, pure Spanish bloodline. Thus they are European or Spanish Mexicano's. If that makes since and if they get citizenship here they are all that plus American. I hope my logic makes sense. But the other reason is that some Americans are to ignorant to tell the difference between one culture and another. I know people that call some hispanics who are obviously hispanic, black. Ignorance and truth.

It has been widely held that there are only three races:

Mongloid
Caucasoid
*******

All people are combinations of these three flavors.

Technically speaking, "white" is not a race. Most Mexicans and Europeans fall into the Caucasoid category.

I don't know if this is the reason for what you are seeing.

I'm one of those mixed people, I'm 1/2 dominican and half white. And most people think I'm all dominican but I understand why you could make the mistake. Some mixed peoples like me look very white or very dark, it just depends on the people I guess.
