im american and i hate it when americans say, oh the british accent bla bla bla, its not an accent ok?! they founded the US so b fucken greatful, that the way u are suppose to talk. in the US there are so many different accents, theres the southern one where u kinda sound like a hill billy, there the New york one that they talk really fast and pernounce patato patata, there is the latino one that really gets on my nerves and u ask "are u speaking english?" and then there is the african american one, that u really have to kinda listen really hard to find out what what they are saying becase sometimes they make up words for other words like fachizle,
most americans im not saying all, find the english accent breath takeing, i do and mostly in movies or in plays the old professer or doctor or someone with a lot of class in usally British. I dont no why, anyways as for my accent, eh, its average, i come from california, i dont talk fast, but i talk a lot and kinda monotone. whats ur opion

Hi, i like it, i actually prefer it to the english accent, (i'm irish), i did spend a few months out in LA 2 years back, and i can speak from experience, but like you say there's lots of different one's, i have heard the southern american one too and i would say it's more attractive.

There s no such element as a British accessory. Britain is created from 4 international places: Scotland, England, Northern eire and Wales yet when I had to respond to, i could say the southern English accessory

I like the Southern Texas drawl, but I wouldn't attempt to imitate it.What I do hate is English people or actors trying to produce an American accent, usually with dire results.
