If we were designed, why do some people naturally have bad eyesight? If it was original sin, why does not everyone have bad eyesight?

Why design a lens that doesn't work well? How many people have bad eyes?

that you can make a moral stand without denigrating people of other faiths? Shaykhs and gurus make moral stands without claiming that if you don't follow their beliefs you will burn in the flames of hell for all eternity. Neither do they make millions from their teachings. Why can't the televangelists take a leaf out of their book?

Being honest with yourselves..with atheism rising among young people who will most likely pass along the same ideals to their 2 and 3 children and 6 grandchildren..

If i were to ask a question that challenged a persons non-belief in the God of the Bible, many of you would be on it like a pack of dogs on a three legged cat...(please no comments from cat lovers...I love cats too...taste like chicken [ :) ]. But when I go after those that profess faith in Christ, and try to encourage them to step up, no one clocks in?

For example where all you intelegent design/creationists at defending the faith from evilouton ( yes I said EVILoution). I know I look like a monkey but that don't mean my ansestors were monkeys ( that was a white mans argument against Black folk about a 100 to 140 years ago).

In Revelation 3:2 Jesus said "Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die..." Writing to Sardis, I believe that is one of the biggest problems the body of Christ faces today.

iam french and native american, i live in britain, i came to the uk at 6 years old..
i dont look like my heritage, iam tanned and have deep blue eyes...this really bothers me, because i want my heritage to be prominant enough so it shows in my features, but it does'nt...

iam not white or british, im planning to emigrate from here, from the uk in the future..im 30 now,.
the problem here is brits around me are percieving me as being ''white'' and ''british'' which im not, and its really upseting me and making me angry.
i dont want to be catogorized by them, that iam british or one of them, when im not...im very true to my culture and patriotic to.
i have a major problem with how others are percieving me in britain....i can't wait to leave and emigrate, but i cant right now, because i have psychological problems to deal with right now.. and ive had a hard past, so i cannot go any place right now..but i do want to leave the uk.
how can i deal with how the brits are percieving me

Don't you think it odd that Christians often accuse atheists and agnostics of 'worshipping man', or being egocentric?

In truth, Christianity is built around a myth of a giant human-like ego in the sky who conducts all affairs around humans, who makes all life for humans, and who makes humans in 'his' likeness.

Is this not an enormously egocentric view of the cosmos?

I personally have no belief in a patriarchal desert God such as Allah or the Chrsitian daddy-in-the sky 'God'.

Neither do I have an image of humankind as some kind of superbeing ordained by a creator.

We are surely part of a picture that paints itself and one day we will be painted out. I do not believe things were 'made' just for us, that seems like pure, childish, plain arrogance and egocentricity.

Why again, would Christians accuse atheists of 'worshipping man'?

1. Yusuf Ali
Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

2. M.M. Pickthall
Lo! those who believe (in that which is revealed unto thee, Muhammad), and those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabaeans - whoever believeth in Allah and the Last Day and doth right - surely their reward is with their Lord, and there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve.

3. Noble Qur'an (Muhsin Khan/Hilali)
Verily! Those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and do righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

The other day i had a doctors appt, which i scheduled last week on the phone and when i showed up for my appt. the office staff said the doctor was not in and they lost my appoiinment. She also told me she had another patient whose appt. they lost as well that day. I could not beleve it as they were not able to call me any ways because they lost it in the system. There was a waiting room full of people and i aclmly told her i took off from work for this appt and it was scheduled a week ago ,and she evens remember talking with me on the phone when i made the appt. She kept saying im sorry, and i rescheduled my appt in a few weeks on a weekend so i dont have to take off from work. Should i tell my doctor when i see him next appt what happened and request a co-pay visit to be waived for the inconvience and time off from work i took? Dont these people keep written records as well i guess not!! Unbelievable!! I dont want to switch docs over this, what would U do??

Before someone doubts that it will never happen -think again!
We know that it will deffinatley happen. In Europe they're even thinking about making it part of the European Bill of Human Rights and are comtemplating proposing it as part of the world-wide Human Rights, so whether you like it or not, its gonna happen sooner or later.

If in doubt, look back in history:
-People never thought women would get to vote or work, but today they have the same rights as males.
-Most Americans in the 1930s would have never thought that Segragation between African-Americans and whites would ever end, but it has...

And many others. GOOD always prevails over Evil, as it will do soon,

Parents who refused to take responsibility for their children's underage drinking should have their children taken into care, a police chief has said.

The Chief Constable of Cheshire Police Peter Fahy was speaking one week after Warrington father-of-three Garry Newlove was allegedly attacked by a gang outside his home.

Mr Newlove, 47, died of his injuries on Sunday afternoon. Three teenagers are in custody and have been charged with murder.

Mr Fahy said: "There should be some form of sanction from the criminal justice system to force some parents to take up the offers of support which we give them to help them deal with their children who have been underage drinking. This should be a child protection issue and this should be dealt with as part of care proceedings."

Mr Fahy said that often when his officers take drunken teenagers home, parents are shocked, occasionally they do not care, and sometimes they are drunk themselves.

Hi, I am from the UK, London. I hate my voice!

I don't really have a full on London accent.... I am the only person in my immediate family born in London, my mum has a Lincolnshire accent =P

Anyway... forget the accent, its just that I talk really quietly and people always say "Say again?" "What?" "Can't hear you", so i speak up- then it feels like I'm shouting and I feel stupid!

So usually I don't talk much unless spoken too, it affects my confidence. I don't walk up to girls and start talking to them etc

Anything I can do to help project my voice, naturally, like everyone else? Thanks
