What is "faith"? I believe it is a mental illness that allows you to accept things as fact without ANY proof at all.. So why is it that Jesus or God doesn't cure his followers of this terrible ailment?

God inspired the writer of Hebrews to say, "Marriage is honorable in all , and the bed undefiled: but whore mongers and adulterers God will judge." What is this telling us? Is this saying that what a man and a wife does in the marraige bed during sex is alright, or are there things the two of them together can not do?

The Epic of Gilgamesh gives an account of a man who was told by the gods to build a boat to save his family from a great flood. Don't you think the Biblical flood originated from Sumer, just like Abraham?

Aren't I CUTE?!?

Now, really, I have a very religiously spiritual question. If religion was a food, what would Christianity, Judaism, Wicca, Paganism, and Muslim be? How about atheism and agnosticism? This is VERY IMPORTANT as I am doing a study on comparative cuisine in religion for the NATO Peace Hearings, which will begin next Friday.

Okay..My Grandmother is very steeped into demonlogy..I have tried to study with her...I know i was told not to go over her house but sometimes i do anyway..Well..today i was trying to study when One of them Yelled in a loud voice "GET OUT!" and alot of things started flying around. I prayed to jehovah, and it stoped, but i left immeditly...I love my grandmother..i dont want her to do this anymore..How can i continue my studies with her and stay safe?

I took 7 french classes in highschool, I've always wanted to go. I remember my french teacher telling me I would be treated rudely by many while I was there. Since then I have gone to the beautiful Canada, to see snow for my 1st time, I was excited. I got to vancouver and walked into a restaurant and asked politely if they take my american dollar as I hadn't had chance to exchange. The guy told me "yeah, we take your BLOOD money." I live in Orlando, in a part that has a lot of latino culture. I love their food, I admire their sense of family. Rarely have I been treated nicely by any of these groups, I am not rude, I don't judge people. My trip to canada was awful as I was consistently being labeled "american" like its a disease. I'm 24, I'm a kind person, why can't I be treated as such? I had to have been born somewhere, it happened to be florida. I treat people on an individual basis, latinos/canadians/middleastern/3rd gen Floridians. All the same. Why be nasty because I am american?

It seems like there are several gay encounters with the republicans. Mark Foley as an example.

Being a person that does not care which way someone bats, doesn't it seem slightly, just a little wee bit hypocritical that the party that is obsessed with gaydom, is....well gay?

Who woulda thunk?

I am sure there are some gays on the left. good for them it is after all a FREE COUNTRY. But when an assembled group goes out of there way to take a stance, it just seems illogical to have so many gay folk in the "manly man" party. All of course against the "family values" theme.

In 2012, the world will end. There is no use in planning for the long term future now. I am stopping going to school because school was just preparing me for the future on earth, but there's no use now in planning for anything earthly. My eyes are on Heaven. Everyone is going to have to answer to God. I am going to be ready and I am not going to waste any more time planning things or saving money or conserving things. I have all of my finances planned so that I spend all of my money in the next four years. I'm going to do all of the things that I've always wanted to do. I don't know why anyone is even bothering to plan beyond 2012. It's stupid. There's no point in planning beyond the end of the world. I will have eternal life in Heaven with God.

ok i got my friend kick out of the Jehovah Witnesses originization because i convinced her to go to a party(and she was also hanging out with me and i'm a luthran) and she told me that she's kinda happy and is also mad and sad because now because she can't see any of her family except for her older sister who got kicked out on purpose. right now she is staying with my gf and her older sister cannot take care of her at the momment because she cannot support both herself and her sister. right now she is not talking to me. what should i do? my gf told me she murmmers in her sleeps saying she wants me dead.
