Without a God there could be no religion. Religion is the basis for morals and the differences between good and evil. Religion is the source of the first schools of learning, the three Rs, science, philosophy. The first colleges and universities were started by religious groups in every country.

To 'discover there wasn't a God' is a contradiction in and of itself - how could you discover something if it wasn't?? Your question falls on itself.
Not trying to be smart, but just pointing out the obvious.

I discovered that I didn't believe a god exists. Yes life has been truly wonderful since then

i stumbled on previous all doubt that there is a God and it has actual replaced my existence. forget 'actual looking' doubt. previous all doubt. that's what faith is. it is not danger or any of that nonsense.

Don't expect former Christians to buy into that Monkey story. I don't.

For those believers, I think there lives would fold on to them. Chaos and anarchy would ensue. For the rest of us, sadness then reality. Life would have to go on.
But God is great. God is in all beauty. To believe in God it to believe in life itself.

Many people report a profound sense of relief, and the removal of fear and guilt.
Didn't happen to me - I was always aware that the God Hypothesis failed.

We already know that, if we have examined the subject. But a lot of people haven't, and a lot of those are killing each other in Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, Chechniya, and of course Iraq.
