My sight has bad since the second grade...
It's not from original sin and it's not poor design either. Those two things aren't worth a hoot. My poor vision was all my own fault. You see, I picked the wrong set of biological parents and got the wrong set of genes.

You haven't got bad eyesight - just rose tinted eyesight.

Well, you know what they say, "everything has a purpose!" Maybe your myopic eyes are particularly good at looking at things up close! Granted, it's all mysterious since we can't read God's mind, but everything is right in the world because everything is ok in our lives even if everything in your life is not.
Enjoy!

Ah, the get-out -of-jail-free card here comes marked
"The Fall"
If it's good, it's God's.
If it isn't it's the result of Adam and Eve's sin, and God's judgement on it. (painful childbirth etc.)
Ain't *nothing* that can't be filed under one or the other.
Congenital myopia, glaucoma or the location of the male prostate gland included.

bad eyesight, in your case it may be in-breading, couldn't help myself, I didn't have bad eyesight until I started reading all the time, the Bible, the computer, and such.

Are you so "short-sighted" that those are the only two possibilities you can imagine. I mean reallly
His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" "Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life." John 9:2,3

That begs the question: If we "evolved" would we evolve with bad eyes.?
How does bad eyes help ensure the survival of the species? What does that say about the theory of natural selection or survival of the fittest?
Sending you a smile to help pick up your day.

Blame a rapidly evolving skull shape, the eyes just couldn't keep up. Neither could the number and size of our teeth.
