Spend some time researching the different wars throughout this world's history, and you will see how many of them were over religion. Atheists are trying to tear down the wall that religious people have built around their beliefs to protect them from criticism.

Every idea should stand on its own merit. You (and religious people in general) need to see the difference between attacking an idea and attacking a person.

Technically that's not the case. It's usually a theist who asks a ridiculous question(that's been answered dozens of times), to atheists. Christians tend to tell us that we're going to burn us in hell(then say that their god loves us), and force their beliefs down our throats.

"i feel the arguement should be more towards all the religions we have and why we have them..." - Simple. Control. That's all there is to it.

I think you mixing water to fire ,they won't and they can't get along and think the other may be correct. My idea is to take a little from all cultures and beliefs that makes some sense and apply it to my own beliefs. I never listen to a zealot.

I think there's no need for arguing at all.

I think religions are fine as long as they don't cross the line separating Church & State.

I have respect for Christians....no problem here.

I think the religious people should admit their inferiority to the Athiests and we wouldnt have any problems. Its obvious that Atheists are much smarter than people who believe in magical men that live in the sky. They often try and make their arguements but fail everytime because deep down they know they're wrong and we're right.

Some of them are determined to hate us and find it amusing to mock us. If that is the only pleasure they have in life, it is okay. Maybe this is the only entertainment they have got.
At least they are not hurting people in real life. (I hope they are not, anyway.)

Atheism attacks Christianity with reason.
Christianity attack Atheism with torches and swords (historically)

I guess us atheists still have some beef. That and we have the benefit of knowing your wrong. Most us know we may not be right but christianity is certainly wrong.

I think you get the idea. Ask some of them why they don't respect us. Is it that they just can't help themselves? I don't know. All I know to do is pray for them. God bless.

If Christians behaved in a Biblically literate way, only the silliest atheists would bother with them.

Unfortunately, many Christians like to meddle with man's laws and secular teachings, rather that sticking to what they are commanded to stick to.
