you have a hard time hearing? It seems today when you just want to have lunch, there is always so much background noise in the restaurants. I tried eating outdoors, but a speaker is placed out there as well. If we are in a group, I can only hear those to the right of me (hearing in left not so good). This is with the use of a hearing aid which picks up every sound but what you want to hear. How do you cope?

This is something I find really weird.

Twice now, in the last week, I've had people take me to task for not being aggressive enough toward muslims.

To my mind, displaying hatred toward them will just make them hate even more. That's what people like Bin Laden thrive on. He was spoiling for a fight with the west for years. He knows that the best way to build up his following is to poke the west into attacking muslim countries.

9/11 was without doubt the most shocking event in my lifetime. All those responsible SHOULD be brought to justice.

But the problem with building up hatred toward muslims, is it just pushes them to be more influenced by the radical fundamentalists.

Don't Americans become even more patriotic when they see someone burn their flag? Dosn't the hatred displayed by muslims fuel American hatred toward them?

At some stage, this cycle needs to be broken. Establishing a diplomatic dialogue is a great way to breakdown barriers of fear.

my brother offered to buy my weekly groceries for me because i'd just moved in and he wanted to give it as a house warming gift. however when we got to the supermarket he kept on telling me that i'd the allowance to exceed my usual grocery bill due to the fact of him paying. he repeated this several times without me rewsponding with an answer. however i proceeded to collect my usual cheap shopping list. he felt upset as if i hadn't listened to him and mentioned the purchase of some ready, microwave meals. when we observed them they were to high and i proceeded to place them back and not buy any. then he slammed the freezer door in the meals were kept in , in the supermarket in protest.
i then refused to allow him to proceed to buy my shopping and placed everything back on the shelves.
did i do the right thing. i felt over insinuated by his reaction of dominating me with him buying the groceries. his protest was disrespectful to me as a person, not respecting my right to choose?

My elderly neighbors would likely buy the groceries but I would bake, or prepare, package and deliver for them to freeze and reheat. How would I charge as there is only Government programs in town but nothing comparable. Besides, those program used subsidies and the meals are high in calories and starches. No special diets would be involved yet that is not a problem if they purchase the groceries themselves. Any one else direct me to other comparable organizations? I am in Iowa and will be checking Dept. of Ag. regs. as well.

There is no magic prayer that will save you. We are to put our faith in God not a prayer. We are to tell God our thoughts not someone elses. being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6) When we are born again God starts a good work in use to go on the narrow path to become holy and righteous. If this is not happening in our lives we need to examine ourselves with what the bible says.
Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified. 2 Corinthians 13:5
Use 1 John 1-5 as a guide to examine yourself. John says why he wrote this chapter:These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

if somebody wants to be vegan, why do people give them advice telling them to eat meat? it's their choice and it doesn't even effect anyone elses life.

why can't we just be nice to people, especially if they aren't mean to us?

In 1945, America dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki killing 250,000 innocent people. I am an American Muslim who condemns terrorism but I am tired of having my entire religion bashed because Americans think that they are innocent. You expect me to oppologize for the terrorist, well NO I won't because I am not a terrorist. I will not appoligize for the sins of others. If I knew how to stop them I would, but I don't. Why do you insist on blaming the Islamic religion when it is a small group of radicalists?

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.2 Corinthians 5:17

The New Man

17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of[d] the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
20 But you have not so learned Christ, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. (Ephesians 4:17-2

Jesus returns for his church, but I do wounder how much longer can I stay this way. This life has always been a battle for me but Jesus has been there every step on the way. Without Jesus I would not be here today. Yes I had a rapture vision last year by the Lord and I was going up in the air, but I were not given any days or dates or year. This life each day is boring and a struggle. How I long for the return of Jesus. I have to take antidepresants every morning and night I take rivotril to help stabalise my moods. Living in this life is damaging me. No suicide is not an option as hell awaits anyone who does this,. I do not know how long I can continue to try and be strong anymore. I have isolated myself from this world, as it is want I want to do. I have distance myself from my family. I do mot like leaving my house much. I have to becasue shoping and bills need to be paid. Christians are you waiting for the return of Jesus? Are you just getting by in this life. I know I am.
