Imagine this - you bought new underwear and wore it on the way to your office because you are afraid u might be late for this very important business meeting with your boss and clients.

Just as soon as the meeting starts u start feeling terribly uncomfortable down there. Im talking about excruciating pain here. U dint feel it was this bad before because u werent sitting down. What would you do?

Both travelling at, say, 25 mph?

Clearly the Mini would hurt less and do less damage, but getting hit by the ambulance, whilst a lot weightier, would mean paramedics were immediately on the scene...

was it a rough ride in the beginning? did it feel, even if only for a while, like you had lost something you loved?

i've been through that, and it's far behind me now. for me, i think it was just the act of letting go of my old ways that saddened me, no matter how destuctive those ways were. i just want to know how common it is for other people to have shared that same kind of experience. i realize that saying something like this might give the critics a little more ammo, because they don't understand the freedom and the peace and the power i've gained, but as i said, i'm interested to know if this is a common kind of experience for newcomers to have. thanks.

I have seen so many people say that only stupid people believe things that other people tell them. Why does it make you stupid to believe other people?
When I was a child, my parents told me that I will burn myself if I touch a hot stove. I believed them and did not touch it. Does the logic given by non believers tell them that they need to touch the hot stove before they know that it is hot? I am not saying to blindly believe everything you hear but, to search it out for yourselves. It is a man of wisdom who shows the faith of a child.
I have a philosophy that I will believe what people tell me as the truth until they give me reason not to. At the same time, I am not ignorant and believe that because I have the Holy Ghost to guide me, I will not be led astray be the great deceiver that is Lucifer. To those who call me stupid because I believe in God please tell me what you base your opinion on or is it just pure hatred for anyone who doesn't think you're the smartest person around?

Hi, can anyone tell me where the expression, *Hair of the Dog* came from? I know it relates to having a very small short sharp shock of alcohol the next morning when suffering a hang-over to help ease the discomfort,.. but how did the expression come to be?

I have been searching for photos of my father for over 12 years... he passed when I was seven years old.... I am now 35. I had a wonderful father, but due to a fire didn't have a photo of him since age 7. An aunt who I have not seen since that time, sent me photos last week (via mail) and I finally have two photos of him. It has meant the world to me. Can you help me write a thank you card that will accompany flowers? Thank you!

I've noticed quite a few answers suggest NOT tipping waiters because there is a service charge. Waiters are generally so poorly paid and usually depend on the tips to make up a good wage for the tiring and patience trying job they do! We always tip 10% wherever we eat, as long as the waiter is polite, clean and adequately efficient. So don't be mean...put yourself in his/her shoes (bunions and callouses and all!) Don't you agree?

Religion is your business, not mine. Why are religions always trying to shape the laws that we all have to live by? Why get on Y answers and tell other people how bad they are?

Someone passed by and said `yo pukes rock`, and she said she was into `the exploited`. They replied ` exploited is a good word`

The question again ` what statement is she making and why`?.

Where does the Church of Jehovah's Witnesses get their priesthood authority from to be able to ordain members of their Church to different Church callings such as the office of an "Elder"?

As I understand it, the Jehovah Witness Church was started by scholarly men who studied the Bible frequently and re-translated the Bible into their own understanding (New World Translation). Was God actually involved somehow in their translation process either physically or through the Spirit?

The United States is 231 years old. It was the first nation in the Western Hemisphere to become independent, and inspired revolutions throughout the Americas. Many American countries that are not part of the United States observe the Fourth of July as a truly American holiday.

What will you do to keep the Revolution alive today and in the days to come?

If the Bible-idea of creation, as it is written in Genesis, states that six days were all that God required to complete the task of creating everything and if the Bible is the virtual dictation from God and written by inspired men, why would there be any confusion over how long a day is?

I've heard people tout the idea that a day for God is longer than a day, but this isn't told of in the Bible.

Wouldn't God understand the confusion it would cause in the mind of men if he reported that he did his work in just six days rather than over the course of several millennia of days if it wasn't so? And wouldn't the inspired men writing down what God had communicated to them recognize the difference between a millennia of days and a single day?

The Bible claims that only six days were required. Certainly both God and the writers of Genesis knew what they intended to communicate, didn't they? If a day didn't equal a day, why would either God or his inspired writers have said it?
