If the whole world was flooded due to 40 days of rain, I would assume the water evaporates, condenses, and then falls to the earth again as rain.
Gravity pulls water back down to the earth again, so where did the water go? It's not here anymore, but should be. Did it just "magically" dissappear also?

Yes tobacco is deadly. It's a killed. every time you light up you are shortening your life. You are a health hazard to those who have to share your environment. When are you going to wake up to reality and know you have to quit.

Did you know that in many communities in the USA, local governments are allowing Muslims to string up loud speakers in multiple places throughout town to broadcast the 5-times daily call to prayer? Local noise ordinances are also being overlooked so that they can do their call to prayer.

Do you agree with this? I mean c'mon, why can't these people set the alarm on their wrist watch?

I ask because you sure don't seem to understand it very well or the same way as each other.

Armageddon is a real war, according to scripture, with blood and guts dying etc..
Its not a philosophical argument over souls.
In fact Jesus is to return and ride a horse into the battle wielding the lord's sword and literally slaying the enemies of Israel upon the battleground which is located in Israel.
Its all spelled out specifically if you care to read your bible.

I'd like to remind you that its YOUR bible, not mine., I am an atheist. I find it rather amusing having to constantly teach you Christians exactly what it is you believe.

As you can see from your answers to my questions, hardly any of you believe the same thing.
Can anyone explain to me how God's word could be so variously misunderstood?

They are a retired couple who are really into their lawn-and it's nice. But I am a single woman who works 12 hour night shifts. Also this year I went on vacation in May and had pnuemonia in June (doubt they knew I was sick). So my yard got kind of shaggy for a while. I'm getting it back into shape now but I noticed they quit speaking to me now. At first I thought they didn't see me wave or I was too far away but yesterday the man was ten feet away and I called "Hi!" but he didn't even look up.
Does a raggedy lawn justify the cold shoulder?

Is effeminacy in gay men borne of natural gender-role traits that subvert the female heterosexual as being *desireable* in attracting other gay men or is being *camp* a superficial parody (or protest) of how society defines masculinity?

A priest tried to convert my little sister, she's only young! I found him half bent over telling her about how she should accept Jesus into her life becasue otherwise she could go to Hell, so I kicked him right up the hole. I was wearing steel toe capped boots so he went flyin'. While he was clutching at his @ss I asked for forgiveness and he said nuttin' so I just figured that as a priest he'd have to forgive me anyway so I figured that's alright. My sister taught it was funny so that's all right too. But the bastards still preachin'! Maybe I didn't kick him hard enough?

trials come and go. First tendency is to panic then get down on our knees to pray for help.
but... there is something else that we should pray for that would relieve us of all the stress and worries.
What would that be??

"If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, 21: but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property.” ---- Exodus 21:20-21

Maybe enslaved men can handle a beating but fragile women would be in pain beyond imagination.

The point being made is not whether or not Christians are released from following the divine law….the point is that if JESUS is the One God of the NT & OT then he said this about WOMEN.

When someone says that they think Hitler wasn't all that bad others think its appalling, even christians. The horrors that were inflicted on the world by the Nazi party were childs play considered to the atrocities carried out by the christian church. While the Nazi party supports Racism, Christianity supports sexual, racial and religious discrimination. So why is it acceptable to support Christianity but not The Nazi Party?

King James Version
3But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
4Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
5But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven
6For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
7For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
8For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.
9Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
10For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels

Can someone explain this? Im quite shocked myself. I didnt know this book carried so much horror and shame....?
