There was a "King Kong Lives" film in the 1980s that was a sequel to the cheesy 1970s remake of the classic 1933 "King Kong". In "King Kong Lives", King Kong apparently survived his fall from the World Trade Center (again, this is the 1976 remake we're talking about, not the 1933 classic). I remember seeing commercials for it in the '80s, and I was like, "Huh? What the heck is this crap?" (Mind you, I'm a dragon nut!) Yet it didn't matter because the movie bombed very badly in the theaters. I'll get some links that'll tell you more. There was a Lady Kong in the movie too, apparently.

I never saw this film, and based on the reviews I'm not sure I ought to bother.

Queen Kong led a tragic life. Her entire childhood was devoted to training her to be a proper Queen. Poor little Queen (Gorilleea was her birth name) never even saw King Kong until their wedding day. When he first saw her, King Kong was completely unimpressed.
"Not nearly enough hair on her!" He was heard to say.
The marriage went through as arraigned, but King was a very inattentive husband, spending most of his time at the chimpanzee brothel. Saddened by this rejection, Queen Kong threw herself off of the nearest building.
Her last words, as recalled by her Gorilla-in-Waiting, were
"Let my manner of death be his manner of death!" This fateful curse would come true only 3 months later.

King Kong, the royal leader of BananaLand, was one of those freaks that likes to do the nasty with ladies from other species. Since he wasn't able to tie the royal knot with that chick he abducted, he died without having a queen to share the throne with.

Well to be totally honest, King Kong was a scumbag who tied his wife to the kitchen sink.

He was the ruler of Zing Zong for 24 years and his wife was never seen in public.

He supposedly had 24 children whom he got specially-adapted aprons made for.

Alas, his love was ill fated from the start. Faye Wray turned him down, although she had a rather soft spot in her heart for him. So, he never married, never conquered his kingdom of NYC, and the last time I saw him, he was hitching a ride to Rio.
