Well i think all christians are nutters, God is chief Nut, Jesus is a wall nut, he loves hanging around. pmsl

No they are not nutters.They are decent honest people who value and worship something purer and better then themselves.They have integrity and stand for something.It's not just Jesus they worship but what it is he embodies and live out their lives according to these traits,to walk in his image.'He is the truth,the way and the light'and is ever the old aphorism - ' if you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything' or in your case be a jerk and make fun of it
