Yes
In the Babylonian tradition, there is a triad of demons with whom Lilith is associated. The male is called Lilu, and the two females are Lilitu, a frigid, barren, & husbandless demon who roamed the night searching for men to seduce or drink their blood, and Ardat Lili, the 'maid of desolation.'
Lilith is thought be the demon of waste places who originally lived in the garden of the Sumerian goddess, Innana, queen of heaven. She is mentioned only briefly in the Hebrew Bible in Isaiah 34:14.
In Jewish traditions, Lilith was created with Adam from the dust of the earth, & became his first wife. She was stubborn, though, & refused to be subservient to her husband. Instead of becoming Adam's servant, she left him & was turned out of Paradise. However, before God created Eve, He sent 3 angels to try to convince Lilith to return to Adam. She refused, & God cursed her by sentencing 100 of her offspring to die each day. After her expulsion from Paradise, however, she slept once more with Adam, & bore the Shedim, Lilin, & Rauchin.
Later, in Kabbalistic circles, Lilith became the mistress of Sammael.
It is mistakenly thought that Lilith's name was derived from the Hebrew word lailah, which means 'night.' This was probably derived from the similarity of the two words, and the idea that Lilith was mostly active at night.

No, that's a incorrect myth that is going on. Adam had only one wife. God only gives a man a wife in response to the calling and need in his life. When God gave Adam the responsibility of caring for the garden and naming all the animals and having dominion of the planet, He saw Adam needed help. So, He sent him a wife which was suitable for what God had called Him to do, which was Eve. Adam had no prior need for a wife, seeing God had not put a lot of responsibility on him just yet. So, Adam could not have had a wife prior to Eve. God works by certain rules and principals and He does not change. And He has certain rules and principles in regarding bringing a man and a woman together. The must be a provider and he must "need" the help.

While the whole story is of course simple myth, based on a number of earlier creation story myths, the Lillith story is true in the fact that it is another telling of the related creation story, but with Eve as the second wife, not the first. I get a hoot out of some the "matter of fact" answers you got though, even though they are factually incorrect. The story is there, and has historical basis, so it cannot be denied. Of course the bible itself is contradictory, the first chapter of genesis man is created to oversee the earth. Then in the second chapter adam and eve are made in god's image. Cain kills his brother, and runs off to the land of Nod, which has people in it-- and not his siblings. So other people were there even based on this story. The adam and eve story is simply written to annoint the israelites as the "chosen" ones, their ancestors Adam and Eve were made in the image of god, so therefore they are as well. Common method of elevating a people in many different creation stories.

Yes, I've heard of this, but this falls far from Abrahamic beliefs and is not a part of their original texts, documents, and teachings.
The idea that Lilith was actually Adam's first wife is akin to writing that Macbeth was Juliet's true father.

Yes, I have heard that story. Interesting how the bible was rewritten by MEN to give a woman who could think and act for herself a bad image.
