Can adulterer's be saints?
I think people should open their eyes to the more charitable work regular people do. They manage to fit the time in to do such wonderful things when they have to work full-time in order to have a roof over their head and food on their table.
If I married into royalty, didn't have a job but had unlimited funds, I could do charity work - but it wouldnt really be that great an achievement for me would it seeing as I'm not doing anything else?

ME!
It seems now that ten years have passed that it's finally OK to state publicly that I didn't like her, and never considered her "the Queen of hearts" or "my princess". I thought it was tragic that she died so young, but to me, it was no more tragic than ANY young person with kids dying. The hysteria that surrounded her death was embarassing. Yes, she did a lot for charity, but what else did she have to do? If someone is that wealthy, with access to private jets and the rich and powerful, then it's their duty to try and help others.
I know everyone mocks Charles, but let's be honest, he was born middle-aged, and at least he never tried to use the press as a weapon against Diana, he behaved with dignity.

Was never on it. Diana was not a saint and why she is held up as pure and innocent, she was far from it.
She committed adultery as well as Charles, she manipulated the press to her own needs far more than Charles ever did.
He deserves more of our sympathy, bringing up his sons alone and finally getting the woman he's always loved.

I was tired of it years before her death. But her legend is still powerful, as I found out when I posted something (well known and substantiated) on here concerning a rugby player and got a violation.

Were she not the mother of our future king, I would delight in a rant about the behaviour of this woman who was ultimately killed in a car that was travelling at three times the speed limit.
How much sympathy would there have been for any other group of clubbers who died as a result of their own recklessness?
A cynical friend suggested that her campaign to ban (fairly low tech) land mines actually helped UK armaments sales of more sophisticated weapons.

I am!!!! I don't understand why people think she is so wonderful. All she had going for her is that she married some dorky looking prince. There are many more accomplished women out there who should be admired over her.
