Does this line sugest that all other beliefs that do not go through the teaching of Christ have no hope to go to heaven?

No. It is just one of many possible translations that could be arrived at by accepted translational methodologies.

There are not always words in other languages that correspond with every word in a given language.

Example- there is no word for future among the river villages of Thailand. If you attempt to explain the concept of future to them they either become confused or simply laugh at you.

What Jesus was telling us was to follow his example. This simple request has been twisted to mean something that Jesus would have considered ridicules.

Most Protestant religions take that one on face value, but the Catholic Church takes a broader and not so literal approach, so no, we Catholics don't believe that you absolutely must be a Christian to go to heaven.

As I recall, the idea was that the Church recognized that many religions' teachings are consistent with those of Christ; the faithful followers of these teachings go to heaven.

It is not so much going to heaven since few Christians shall go there.

The question is about salvation and life in Paradise for general humankind. Only through the established way, through Christ may we be saved. He is the only mediator between men and God.

Read Psalms 72, Daniel chapter 7 Matt 5:5 "the meek shall inherit the earth. "

A dichotomous answer is not possible 'cos it is a matter of perception or where u stand. To the Christian, it will be an emphatic "yes" & 2 others it may not be. Volumes cld be written here regardless of what side of the divide u are, but this should suffice.

We can have free approach to the Father only through Jesus.—John 14:6;

Approach God through Jesus Christ alone. Jehovah God sent his only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to the earth to serve as a ransom to redeem mankind from sin and death. (John 3:16, 36; Romans 5:12; 6:23) Hence, for those availing themselves of this provision, God opened up a new approach to himself in prayer. Such earlier servants of God as the psalmist David prayed directly to Jehovah. (Psalm 4:1; 17:1; 55:1; 102:1) But the new approach was through Jesus, who said: “No one comes to the Father except through me. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it.” (John 14:6, 14) Nowhere do the Scriptures suggest that prayers should be directed to God through anyone else.

The complete verse is John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

Jesus said He is the only way to the Father.

Jesus said He holds the truth for access to Father.

Jesus said that He is the life to the Father.

Based on Jesus' own words we all can only go to the Father through Jesus.

In the judgement of Christ, which will include all people, the determining factor will not be morality but faith in His atonement; all believers will rise like Christ with glorified bodies to live with God forever in heaven, while all unbelievers will be sent to eternal punishment in hell.

It means there is nowhere else to "go"; it means God is All That Is; it means there is one teaching, and all teachings teach it.

It does not mean that heaven is an exclusive club, and those not "measuring up" have not a chance.
