Not for me, but my bubble busted when I soon learned that I still sin.
I think that what one would experience would depend on what he had been through in life, or where he was at the time. I think maybe if I had been in a sexually active relationship at the time, I might have go through something like that, but I was pretty single. Maybe something like that makes a difference.
I was smoking a lot of pot back then, but I didn't really enjoy it, so that wasn't hard to give up. It was just a social thing, and now I had a whole new group of friends, so I didn't need the pot.

From what you are saying I almost think you did not realize what following Christ was all about until you had alread accept Him as Lord. I wonder what you mean by giving up. If your life was so full of sin and then doing a total 180 in you life was like leaving your passed completely behind. Alot of Christians truthfully go through slow changes and not a 180 degree turn all at once.
Question for you. Do you believe Christ fullfilled that void of the things you use to do??? Were all the things you gave up really against God???

Yes. It is normal. Not only are we letting go of our old sins and our old ways, but we are entering into a new life that is strange and foreign to us. It's perfectly natural to be depressed or apprehensive at first. When I was first saved it was a terrible time in my life. My family hated me because I accepted Jesus as my Savior. They made my life hell and my children had to grow up without aunts, uncles or grandparents. You bet it was depressing. But I stuck with it and prayed that the Lord would bless them later in their lives and would give them good husband's and happy lives. Now my daughter's are approaching their 30's, they are both married to wonderful men and have beautiful healthy children and homes. We are a very close and loving family. The blessings do come if you stick out the hard times. That's just God testing us like He did the Israelites in the wilderness. Keep the faith. There is a great reward. God bless you.

obviously, it is different for each of us...I did not go through a period of depression...I was knocked down and blinded sort of like Paul on the Road to Damascus.....my life has NEVER been the same since. I have my bad times, days, etc. but like I said, it is so much BETTER and unbelievably fantastic with the Lord. I will pray for others who may be going through this. Thanks for sharing this.....gives us more to be compassionate about. Peace and blessings.

you know, a lot of us Christians fall and mess up. you have be be strong and know that no matter how bad you failed, or go through depression Jesus is always there to forgive you and listen to you.
I was sort of depressed for a little while at one point. I lost more than half of my friends. but you know what they are not going to take me to heaven. Walking with Jesus and having a relationship with him is the only way
Jesus is AWESOME!!
God Bless brother ♥

That brief period of Depression has a name, Cristianity. It depends on the patient, as the recovery time takes much longer for some than others.

When people become Christians they often do not realise that one set of problems are often replaced by a worse set. They have the undivided attention of a real evil personality who is out to dispose of them metaphorically or literally. Most Christians, whether they believe it or not, need deliverance at some stage.
