First off, despite popular belief, no one "chooses" to be gay.
Why do people like chocolate or why do some people hate olives? Its just a preference.
Just because someone is gay they might not dress a certain way, or act like it. All homosexuality is really just a preference for the same sex. It doesn't mean you have to do or act or dress a certain way because society says so.The ear piercing this does not mean you are gay. You really can't help who you are attracted to and who you love.
It is not a bad thing to be gay. Homosexuality has been around for a very long time. Even certain mammals are homosexuals.
There is no "cure" for homosexuality. You can accept it and accept the people in your life that are.
Many people argue that Christianity condones homosexuals, but its not true. If you believe in God, than you know he made us in his own image.
I feel very sad that gay people are looked down upon, and get ridiculed and have a very hard time comming out to their friends and family. I may not be gay myself, but I do have family members that are, and I see their struggle. I choose to not let people make jokes about them to me.
I stand up for them if someone is making rude remarks.
So ending this rant I will just say-
If you don't like gay marriage, don't get one. But don't prevent others from being happy. It does not threaten the sancitity of your marriage.

Some are born that way. Some are molested as children and confused and become gay. Some are trained to be gay. Some are lured into the culture of being gay and are just experimenting. Some aren't but act gay because gay is now cool.
Some gays are flaming----they show that they are gay and they are vocal about it. Some gays are quiet and give you no indication that they are.
Everyone--Everyone----has to find a way to fit in. The best thing you can do is be yourself. There are forces of nature both visible and hidden that will guide you to people just like you. Don't be distracted and don't compromise. Be who you are. Gay or straight---you are just fine the way you are.

Whoa. Not to sound rough here, but did the 80's come back? That is an antiquated stereotypical way to identify homosexuals. We are everywhere and anywhere today. There is no look, checklist, identifiers anymore. And no reason that can be 100% on why people are gay. It is a fact many argue, but I just accept that I am. I don't care what made me gay, just that I am happy with who I am.

You need a "solution". What exactly is your "problem" with gay people ?
People are gay the same reason you and I are straight. We were born that way. I could no more start being attracted to women than a gay man could.

Why is anything the way it is? Does it matter? You're not gay...so what? You may have a friend who is? What does it matter? There is no solution to a problem that only exists in the minds of small minded people. Live and let live.

*Insert Higher Power Belief/Philosophy here* made us all different. It's the spice of life. Science has already proven the nature vs nurture (Genetics/Way of living) debate to be true in some sense on this subject. It's not a choice when your brain predisposes you to a certain condition.

Did you forget to mention, the pinkie ring as well?
To answer seriously, many people were homosexual from the time they were able to grasp their senses and function as human beings. It's going to continue being a mystery and discussion.
