I've been hearing from a lot of "christians" claiming that my sinning is worse than theirs.

Not just that, but that my sins would keep me out of heaven while theirs won't.

A lot of "christians" judging the sincerity of my repentance, or the effort I make to not sin again despite tremendous temptations from Satan.

If God and the Holy Ghost have illuminated passages of the bible so that I clearly see that nothing we do matters to God, just as long as we have faith in Him, who are these "christians" to say "nay"?

I asked earlier whose denomination has all the right answers, and everyone told me to read the bible and figure it out for myself. I've done that, but now they all want to tell me my interpretation is wrong, while their interpretation is right.

First they tell me to think for myself. Then they tell me to ignore what I think and believe what they tell me to think.

But no one wants to tell me which denomination has all the right answers.

Why?

I just read and answered a question about being both- and I am giving you the challenge- show me in scripture. And how does that compute- with "I am God and there is no other"- etc. I am open to anyone who can show me in the Bible that God says it is ok- an example of people worshiping other gods, is not proof that God is ok with it.

Despite all protestations to the contrary by the godbots.

Seriously. If faith were enough, then they wouldn't need to hijack science to support their cosmogony. (Look it up.)

I am having a surprise party, and I have a indoor park shelter house reserved. There are going to be kids there. Do you have ideas on something to make it fun for all. I was thinking a dj or sumo suit rental, but those might be too expensive. I am thinking something $200 or less.

earlier in a question by Digilook , he asked when people say " I love you " do they mean it ?
most answered that they only say it when they mean it , so are cautious to say it randomly

now those of you who know me , know that I often say
I am asking your honest opinion on whether you think that I do mean it or not ?
does love mean different things to different people perhaps ?
do you think some people can just love everyone ( or mostly everyone anyway )

I guess I am trying to figure myself out here also ... so help me out with your opinions guys
do I mean it when I say it to you ? ..... what do you think

each is presented in text as someone's first hand account of what they've observed. science is presented to us as scientists observations. the life of jesus is presented to us as people's observations. either way, we never actually see it directly ourselves. so then, how do we KNOW that science is telling us the truth? we learn about it through what people tell us. does anyone see what i'm saying? i'm not arguing that religion is above science, or vice versa, i am merely stating that they are both just what we are told by other people.

i understand that the experiments are replicable...but how many average people can go out and use the equipment required to do so. for example, dating fossils and archaeological finds is time consuming, expensive and requires special equipment. only very few people can go out and do this...therefore, WE GO OFF OF WHAT WE ARE TOLD!

I'm conducting an experiment in which I ask Christians that are former Atheists that have read "The God Delusion" why they believe (I really don't think there will be many Christian answers though), and comparing the responses against the Atheists who were former Christians that have read the entire bible and why they are not christian anymore.

Here are the two questions:

What do you think the results will be and why?

look im only 11 but i want to know if in like 25 years if u would vote for me for president. I am a female and am a straight A studnt. I believe that everyone should be given help when needed, no matter if you are poor, rich, small, etc. I think every city , including ones that arent major should be helped and that we should continue to try to make the world a less prejudice place to live in by continuing and encouraging a mix or children in public schools. I also have come up with a way to help immigrants without having over population. I think we could give them temporary visas, which will allow them to stay here for a few years or months, that way they would be able to bulid a life for themselves but wouldnt get to take advantage of our society. would u vote for me?

Paul says it is by faith, and not deeds, that I get into heaven.

Obviously, deeds aren't very important.

All my sins are forgiven on Judgement Day because I've got a guest pass to heaven from Jesus himself because I have faith.

And it says in the bible that faith that Jesus is the son of god who died on the cross for me and rose from the dead is all it takes to get into heaven.

So I'm weak. So I get tempted. So I give in. So what? I'm human. We're all weak. We all give in to temptation. We all sin. You telling me that makes any difference to God if we believe in Him?

Not according to Paul.

So why should any christian care about trying to impress God by being like Jesus when none of us come close and never will?

Sure, fight temptation. But if you give in, so what? God will take you anyway.

After all, Christians with faith do not get judged on their deeds.

So why worry about it?

I am asking this question to settle an argument between me and someone else. It is a playful argument and we are thankfully not beng hateful. But none the less we disagree!
My point of view is, that there are angels sent by God. And I also believe in demons and the evil acts that Satan does. I am learning that when someone sees a ghost it is the devil. (Most times it isn't a good thing when you see or hear ghosts because they scare you).
The other person's view is that ghosts are lost souls and haven't made it to heaven or hell yet. And they are wandering souls. This to me, seems kind of crazy. And that is the part that we argue about. Also, the person says, that there are good ghosts, that play jokes and are friendly.
My question is how can a ghost be friendly if it is the devil? Honestly, I don't understand this and it just bugs me! Tell me what you think!!

There seems to be this misconception among the christian community that Atheists haven't read the bible, were never christian, or were never true chrisitans. I myself am living proof that these statements are false, but are there others? If so, can you give a brief synopsis of your religious experience and tell us why you are an Atheist today?

Thanks in advance for your participation.

Adam and Eve, the tree of knowledge of good and evil. When God put them on a diet and said don't eat from that there tree they would not have known it was wrong or evil to defy God. Any parent or big brother or sister knows that telling a child not to do something for the first time is never enough. They have to have some former experience to teach them no means no.

Ticket to Heaven

I can see what you're looking to find
in the smile on my face
in my peace of mind
in my state of grace
I send what I can
to the man from the ministry
he's a part of heaven's plan
and he talks to me

now I send what I can to the man
with the diamond ring
he's a part of heaven's plan
and he sure can sing
now it's all I can afford
but the lord has sent me eternity
it's to save the little children
in a poor country

I got my ticket to heaven
and everlasting life
I got a ride all the way to paradise
I got my ticket to heaven
and everlasting life
all the way to paradise

now there's nothing left for luxuries
nothing left to pay my heating bill
but the good lord will provide
I know he will
so send what you can
to the man with the diamond ring
they're tuning in across the land
to hear him sing

I got my ticket to heaven
and everlasting life
all the way to paradise

To outsiders Christianity was referred to as “The Way” (Ac 9:2; 19:9, 23; 22:4), and opponents called it “the sect of the Nazarenes” or just “this sect.”—Ac 24:5; 28:22.. 5 For we have found this man a pestilent fellow and stirring up seditions among all the Jews throughout the inhabited earth and a spearhead of the sect of the Naz‧a‧renes′, 6 one who also tried to profane the temple and whom we seized. 7 —— 8 From him you yourself can by examination find out about all these things of which we are accusing him.”
(Acts 24:13-14) . . .Nor can they prove to you the things of which they are accusing me right now. 14 But I do admit this to you, that, according to the way that they call a ‘sect,’ in this manner I am rendering sacred service to the God of my forefathers, as I believe all the things set forth in the Law and written in the Prophets;

(Acts 24:13-14) . . .Nor can they prove to you the things of which they are accusing me right now. 14
