I am asking this question because over the years I have met some folks paricularily some gay men and women who have rejected religion (ESP. Christianity) because of the harsh treatment and attitudes towards them from time to time. Also the same can be said for the racsist beliefs that was justified by misinterpreting the bible.

depressed all the time and it helps conrol my anger. Why do other chrisitans say that it is satan doing this to me? Why do they say if you trust in God you will not need medication? I do need medication, I was put on it for a reason, a chemical imbalance in my brain. So I want to know why some chrisitans or most of them say that if you ask God he can heal you and you wil not need medication. I am not getting of of them because I will end up depressed again. God put doctors in our path for a reason and and gave them brains(well some of them) and have come up with medicine to help people. I thank God that I have this medication to help me. It might not be a cure, but it does help. I need christians to stop critisising me for this and to stop thinking that this is a curse. Sickness mentally or physically does happen in this world you know. There were many prophets in the bible of God that had depression and they were not cursed.

I understand the many dieties as different expressions of god. I get the ideas of reincarnation and karma.

I don't get the general tenets or what the scriptures of Hinduism are.

Being a non christian (I am aTibeton Buddhist) many Christians upon finding out about me have professed their desire to convert me.. I know that they mean well and many have backed off respectfully when I told them that I am not interested but often many have after I have told them that I am Buddhist look at me in puzzlement. Why do you think they feel puzzled at me?

I know that the FLDS Mormons are the ones that believe that polygamy is acceptable and some of the LDS believe like most of us that polygamy is evil but do the polygamist Mormons think that their faith is more important than the US government?

I know that polygamy existed in the Old Testament of the Bible but that was before Jesus when primitive man also practiced living sacrifices and stoning to death. None of those actions would have even been permissible during the Renaissance yet polygamy was even practiced by LDS when our great grandparents were fighting the Civil War and is practiced to this day by the FLDS.

It was and still is illegal people!

What do you think of people of certain religions who have not read the book of their faith or have only partially read it? Do you think that it does not make them whole in their faith and if they only believe in some parts, but not all parts and say that it is only a book written by man even if it contains the words of God?
