The Bible is the Word of God. It was voted to be the Word of God because it is and it is reliable with its claims. It is time tested, and Jesus confirmed the Old Testament.
God has protected His Word.

This proves that there were many very smart men around back them, doesn't it?
Why not go back and research the matter, and see exactly WHY they came to the conclusions that they did, and WHY people of faith continue to agree with their decision, some 1600 years later?
The Bible has everything to do with God. You just haven't been able to figure out WHY, as yet.

Sara your funny. And the bible was cannonized by men who loved Jesus heart and soul=
"In the beginning God created... first verse in the Bible Genesis 1:1
if that isnt something to do with God-please let me know
princess
this is how I came to know God personally=
this is how I as a Jew came to know Jesus personally
"Unto us a child is born, a son is given, and he will be the mighty God, and the prince of peace." Isaiah 9:6
the answer is still in the salvation of the soul-till then we are on the outside looking in. Revelation 22 "Do not add to my word or take from it or you will get plagues, and never find salvation."
this is how I got salvation-believing the Word of God="I love you, and ask you to repent of your sins (even one lie) quickly. Behold I stand at your heart door and knock if you hear my words and ask me in, I will come in and be your friend." Revelation 1:1=Jesus words spoken from heaven & 3:19&20
so i prayed "Jesus I am sorry for my sins, come into my heart and help me, be my friend, amen."
Now Jesus is my Messiah, best friend, and savior, he comforts and keeps me, and His word has become the love letter of my life in Spirit and in truth.
Praying the best for you too, David

Yes I knew that. Now others can too.

According to Professor John Crossan of Biblical Studies at DePaul University the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great (274-337 CE), who was the first Roman Emperor to convert to Christianity, needed a single canon to be agreed upon by the Christian leaders to help him unify the remains of the Roman Empire. Until this time the various Christian leaders could not decide which books would be considered "holy" and thus "the word of God" and which ones would be excluded and not considered the word of God.

The Bible has everything to do with God. The Hebrew Old Testament was written long before the Council of Nicea.

That i didn't know.
But did you also know that most of what the catholics believe is based on the foundation of pagans and druids?
It is so very interesting where there are many faiths that celebrate holidays such as christmas, and easter that those are actually originally pagan holidays.
Thought would you provide where you found that info, i'm sure others would love to read it, as well as there are those who would love to disput it.
Nice job!
ETA: I think i may not have what i was saying clear. The holidays of Christmas and Easter spout from Yule, and Spring Equinox. If you do your own research you will see what when the catholic church came about, and during the time of the Romans. They were trying to convert Pagans and Druids and other earthly faiths of the time, to Christianity. Most of the time the only way to do so was to come to a comprimise over holidays. Hence was born Christmas, and Easter. But it's not mumbo jumbo as you so call it, there are those who do believe that as a faith. And your are more then welcome to disagree with it, but you are not welcome to insult someone over it.

By god, I think she's hit the nail on the head! Women in most religions have never come out looking very good. God was a man, Jesus was a man. Mohammed, Zesus, etc. were all male. Eve, Pandora, Lilith were either evil, stupid, greedy, lusty and just plain weak.......according to men. The whole Judeo/Christian tradition is misogynistic - maybe it's time to turn the tide and make new traditions.

Where do you base your theory on (and it is a theory without any proven fact)?
I think it is enough to drive me to tears when I read all of the Anti-Christs running around on YA and spouting supposition as fact.
Inkedlady whatever- what does the celebration of the birth of Christ and the Resurrection of Christ have to do with any thing pagan? Christmas and Easter are religious only in that they are celebrated by Christians and a few other religions. The reason for the celebreation has absolutely nothing to do with any pagan mumbo jumbo that you made up to sound intelligent. Pagans, as I understand, do not recognize God or his son Jesus Christ so why would they have anything to do with special days designed to honor them?

actually this is true, The bible is a collection of stories and facts that were collected by people of religion and power in the
time of constantine. it was he who wanted to collect it, but a lot of these scholars disagreed on the content. some say some things in the bible have been fabricated, to benefit the kings back then. you might disagree
