What do you think of people of certain religions who have not read the book of their faith or have only partially read it? Do you think that it does not make them whole in their faith and if they only believe in some parts, but not all parts and say that it is only a book written by man even if it contains the words of God?

People who do not read their holy book are sheep and we all know what happens to sheep they are slaughter. People who read their holy book and do not follow the teachings are liars and those who need to read a book to know how to be a good person, treat others with love and respect they are weak minded.
The average person on the street knows killing is wrong, stealing is wrong, lying, cheating, etc, etc. We learn it by experience, empathy and guidance from those around us. It does not come from a book. People knew this before there was holy books and will know this after these books have crumbled in the sands of time.

There are people who read their good books and know each and every detail from page one to the last page but yet they are cruel, unkind and selfish. There are some who haven't read the full book but are kind, helpful and loving. There are priest who should an example to the society but have committed sexual crimes etc etc etc. I believe what truelly matters is FAITH not how well versed one is in reading the holy bks of their religion.

I find it amusing that people think Christianity is based on the Bible. Historically, Christianity existed before the Christian Bible did, by either 100 years, or 438 years, depending on when you consider the Bible to have been OFFICIALLY promulgated. Christianity is based on the teachings of Jesus, as taught to the world by his disciples and Apostles. The Christian bible then comes from THOSE teachings as recorded by first generation disciples of the original eyewitnesses.
Thus technically, you don't need to READ the Bible in order to be a Christian, but it sure helps ;)

I don't need a book to believe in god its for people who can't think for themselves they read the good book and they don't have to think. Hasn't anyone studied the history of the bible. Gods word is everywhere the bible is dangerous. Ban it. Its violent and has sexual content. children should not be exposed to it.

Christ knew the Old Testament and quoted it to Satan when tempted by him. How can Christians do less - particularly when it is emphasised that Christ provides your faith and the Bible is the only source of His word.
