purported to be much greater than 5,000 years old?
I cant see why this heresy is allowed to continue?

I read one in Hell's Canyon (on the Idaho border) saying millions of years ago these rocks were in motion.

Actually, there was a ruckas in the Grand Canyon because the guides were saying that the canyons show sedimentary layers up to 65 million years. Check out the links below.

The ancestral "Colorado River" came into being when the Rocky Mountains to the east of the Grand Canyon were formed, at sometime around 60-70 million years ago

Guides at the Canyon are no longer to tell the age of the canyon in order not to offend creationist.

The earth is just over 4 billion years old. Christians would have you believe that the "devil" is tricking scientists.

Just depends on who you'd rather believe:
modern scientists doing scientific studies, or people who lived in the Bronze age living in caves 2,000 years ago (who, by the way, also believed the world was the center of the Universe).

well if God created the Earth in 7 days, and time has no real effect on God, then the first day to God could be a few million years. therefore we all could still be living in only the 8th day acording to God. meaning the creation of the earth was broken into "days" for our understanding. lol thats how I think of it.
