extraordinary amount of Muslim bashing going on here and blaming all Muslims for the actions of a few. Do you really feed into the media that much and have they taken control of your brains? Most Muslims abhor the actions of these terrorists as much as the rest of the world and in this forum many Muslims openly despise their actions. There are many Muslim countries that have absolutely nothing to do with the terrorists and the terrorists are not from every Muslim country. There is also so much condemnation for the Islamic faith because of the actions of the few. The foundation of the Islamic faith is much like the Christian faith in that it teaches love, peace, good will, charity, etc. Any religious sect intent on committing such horrific acts in the name of God is going to take scriptures from their holy book and use it to justify their actions. When are you ignorant people going to realize you cannot blame an entire religious community for the actions of a few?

Although it can be taken to the extreme and can become legalistic and Pharisaic, I still admire the tradition of wearing your best clothing to church on Sunday to honor God. I have heard that some continue this practice at home after church is over to help keep a worshipful and respectful mood. Has anyone done this and do you find it helpful?

I know that the Bible teaches that we are to support our leaders.
I'm a Christian and I love God with all that I am. I also know that I am to honor my leaders.
At the same time I don't agree with the war or the way it was handled.
As a Christian, what should we do when we honestly can not agree with what our leaders do?

I have a mental illness that has improved a bit. But I find it hard to stop picking marks over my body. It looks like I have been taking drugs and injecting them, which I have not. I have scars all over my body because of self inflicted. Is that a sin? If it is I want to know where in the bible does it say that.

There are so many athiests, both here on Yahoo and in the world as well. Lets say we are having a conversation with non-believers, what points would you make, to try to prove that God exists? ( I know it's impossible to "prove" it to a non-believer, but for the sake of what points we could make, how would we try )
What could you say about creation?
What would we say about our own existance?
What could we say in answer to people who say that the world is so messed up and full of pain, so how could there be a God?

I'm sure I'll get alot of answers from non-believers, but basically I would like positive feedback, on how to counter a negative response to questions about God., (I'm not intending disrespect.)

This is something that I cannot comprehend.
I don't just mean prostitution, but also pornographic 'actors/actresses'
Surely it is the most demeaning thing on the earth, selling your body for the pleasures of others, it must hold such a high emotional boundary that stops relationships from forming.
And what about the poor souls who are sold, who are human traffiked and are forced to do the most disgusting things against their will, do porn 'stars' not give a damn about these so unfortunate people?
I understand that some people go into the pornography industry because they are desperate for money, but does it really require having sex with a stranger?

None of us are perfect.I will tell you what sins I have given up and this was before I became a christian and when I did I have never gone back to them and never will. The bible says that it would be like a dog going back to its own vomit. I have given up drinking and getting drunk, I do not drink anymore, I have given up going to pubs and clubs, I have given up my fraud, I have given up dilibreatly bounceing checks, I have given up shoplifting, I have given up drugs, being phsically abusive to people when they were rude to me, I have learnt to forgive. I have lernt the importance of thithing. But I still sometimes swear which I take to God when I do. I still battle putting marks all over my body as I have a mental illness which I am on antidepresants for, and I have to stop Judging people. I know God is working on me with these things. So Christians what sins do you do, and do you take it to God after, and do you turn from the sins?
