I don't dress up for church every Sunday. Sometimes I just wear jeans and a t-shirt. Our preacher always tells us that God doesn't care what we wear as long as we are there. What he means by this is that we don't have to dress up to the extreme. Usually on holidays mostly everybody dresses up and if I am going to be singing or speaking I dress up. When I do dress up, I usually change when I get home, although if I don't, I usually don't find it helpful for keeping me in a worshiping and respectful mood. I just came back from SuperWow yesterday and I re-dedicated my life to God. I am going to become a better person. I will try this now, and see if it helps any.

Well, I don't always dress up for church, because it's not required. Most people at my church wear jeans, including the pastor.
However, when I DO dress up for church, I change when I get home unless I'm wearing something really comfortable.
On Easter, I didn't change out of my dress, and yes, it did help. The service was amazing, and the feeling stayed with me all week. Staying in my Easter dress kept me feeling like it really WAS the Sabbath, all day.

No, I don't. I don't believe God cares what I wear to church or throughout the rest of the day. Many times I go to the pool and swim or relax in the sun.
I don't believe that one needs to be dressed up in order to have a worshipful/respectful mood.

I do not go to a church for my place of worship.
But no I take my clothes off when I get home to keep them in good condition. Also I do not need clothes to feel spiritual but the knowledge I have studied previously for the meeting and learned there keeps me spritually bright.
Spirituality is not a hat I put on and take off when it is Sunday but something that I have to work on everyday.
Studying for the regular meetings throughout the week and participation keeps me reminded.

I dress nice but not too formal for church. So I may have on jeans but I will also have on a nice top to dress it up or something. If it's for something special like our Easter celebration I dress really nice and change when I get home so that I don't wreck my good clothes. It's your own choice though, some people don't like changing that often in one day and leave their church clothes on while others don't and some do it for religious reasons. As my pastor put it on day it's up to you. Have a nice day!

I do not wear my clothes all day. i take them off as soon as i get home. You can worship God in regular clothes. at home actually i find it more comfortable and relaxing if i dont wear church clothes. I listen more and be attentive better. When i wear the church clothes i am itchy and i have to watch how i sit and i have to think of those things bc of that i miss some of the sermen. So i think not wearing church clothes is better at home. I do agree you should wear them at church though.

At our church, people go there either dressed up or in their blue jeans. I do either. I figure that God will accept me as I am, but it is nice to dress up for church. If we make the effort for work and special occassions, then we should probably do it for church too. As far as staying dressed up, I typically stay dressed up if we're going somewhere after church, but if we're staying home, I change so that I can play with the kids or tend the garden and not get my good clothes messed up.

I normally change into something more comfortable when I get home, but now that you mention it, on the few occasions that I was unable to go home and change and remained in my "church" clothes I did feel in a more respectful mood.
