Do they have to masturbate or can they temporarily switch their sexual orienation and cause it to happen automatically? Thinking about previous question where someone mentioned men the behaviour of men in prison.

no one switches orientation. Fact is all people are inherently part straight and part gay (to be 100% either way implies perfection adn we al know no human is perfect). So you might be 10% straight and 90% gay or viceversa or anywhere in between.
A man who has not had sex for a while can easily be made erect and become a willing partner in a sexual act that he might not otherwise choose to engage in. Or a man who is curious about some sex acts may want to try them to see how they feel. And a guy who has had a couple drinks may well be horny enough to do that which in a sober state may not be to his liking. And there are many other reasons a guy might wind up having sex with another man.

I haven't been in prison nor have I paid attention to previous questions.
First and foremost, the brain is the most largest or most important factor in sex. If it is sufficiently aroused either by current "real world" activities or situations, OR by imagination OR because they body is reporting that sperm storage is in a condtion simular to a very full bladder, the rest of the body will follow along.

I've been with a few "straight" men, they were married, had children, and lived the straight life, but were curious about Gay life.
Several men have wanted to try it with me, but for various reasons I have told them no.
I think a lot of men are curious about Gay sex, in the same way they are curious about different women. They want to find out if the grass is greener on the other side.

Well If they are gay then they are attracted to another man. If not I am not sure. I would have to close my eyes and think of a really hot sexual encounter with a female and then pretend I am doing a woman in the butt.

Heterosexual men, by definition, do NOT have sex with other men. Once you understand that and have reconsidered your question, try asking it another way. When properly asked and answered, you'll find that the men in prison are performing homosexual acts and, if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck...

No man could turn me on in that way. Even if I could get an erection the sight of another man would soon lose it. None of this to a heterosexual man would bare thinking about.

Well some could be gay. I'm sure tho that many arent and basically there arent any women around so they use whatever is there. If there were just goats in prison....guess what..theyd be doing them but that doesnt mean that if in normal situations they would.

heterosexual men don't want to have sex with other men............ the ones in prison probably can't face years in there without some sexual gratification. They look at pictures of women, to get aroused, then grin and bear it. I find the idea quite repulsive

For jail, the way I see it, they're just using each other for masturbatory reasons. Their sexual orientation doesn't change, they merely use each other like they would a hole in the wall basically.
