If it is a bottle of distilled water or comes from a store, than there will be nothing green in it.
If you fill a bottle from the tap, or a stream or other natural source, it could be a number of different things.

Well, you've been answered thoroughly on this, but let's take it a step further.
Let's suppose the elements for water (two hydrogen, one oxygen) came together naturally in the beginning, with absolutely NO outside help (intelligent design).
THEN let's suppose that left on its own, algae did develop from it.
This is where we hit a problem. The cell of a bacteria (which is what algae is) is COMPLETELY different from one of our cells, or the cell of any other mammal, reptile, avian, or amphibian. Bacterium do not evolve into anything other than bacterium. They may change forms, sure, but they don't become something else entirely, no matter HOW much time they're given.
SO. Even if the first life on our planet was algae, we did not evolve from it.

That would be bacteria, or algae or some other "form of life" which is resident in all water.
This isn't all that much of a stumbling block. The water which was put in the bottle was not "created" out of a vacuum so to speak.
If you are trying to establish that water placed in a bottle without "interference" or what ever will "produce" life as if on its own...
Let me counter with... why then doesn't bottled water purchased at stores do the same thing?
The micro-organisms have been removed at the processing plant!
And if you are trying to demonstrate that water has lalready has life in it... I still say that God created life.

I'm firmly convinced evolution is what happened on this planet and even I can shoot holes in your idea. If you were to take perfectly sterile water and place it in a perfectly sterile bottle in a sterile environment you will see no algae or other life spontaneously develop. The event that started life on this planet happened under very specific circumstances and this planet looked very different back then.
Since the water will always be slightly impure and so will the environment, there will be groups of bacteria and whatnot floating around. Left to their own devices and under proper circumstances they will flourish. There is your green goo.

Your example of getting life out of nothing by "natural" means is weak to say the least. Try the same with distilled water (devoid of any microorganisms) close it tightly and then wait a couple of million years to see if you'll get life. Fat chance. The water in your example will come to life precisely because the information for it is already there. And where did this information come from?

Bacteria. It can grow anywhere and if you leave the bottle sit too long, it's like standing water and bacteria, like you'd see in a fish tank, can grow in there.

contaminants
see that experiment wast done in the 1800's
thus they found out about sterilisation
its algie growing on the nitrogen suspended in the water
boil it then seal it
it cooks [kills] the microscopic bacteria [as real scientists discovered before darwin

I think you are wrong. You should try the experiment before you get on here and suggest findings.
I have had bottles water in my house for months that grew nothing.
And, that being said, you should read the mold laws in the Bible. They might be helpful to you.

Mutant algae from chemicals in our water supply. Please DO NOT drink it. You will die...or worse mutate into some plant like creature. Did you ever see "Swamp Thing"? I'm pretty sure that's how he got it.
