No.
It's equivalent to abusing someone for unhealthy eating habits.

Also, there is no scientific proof that smoking causes cancer or that second-hand smoke is a health problem.

The reason you are being abused for smoking is because people can't mind their own business. Everybody wants to fix YOUR problem, and yet can't fix their own problems. Ironic, isn't it?

I wish you would elaborate a little more, but regardless of the type of abuse. NO!! The last time I checked it was still legal and as long as you are over the age of 18. You are perfectly within your right to smoke!! The Anti's have turned smoker's into horrible, ignorant, and indecent people. We as smoker's have always been very passive, little by little they have been taking away our freedoms and we have just let them. It is time to stop being passive and to stand up for our rights!! We do have rights by the way, smoking bans are against the constitution because they prohibit the right to free enterprise. The next time someone abuses you because you are smoking, you need to stand up for yourself and go to the police or call your local tv station. This needs to be headline news. You should also report this to the smokers rights club, you can find it on the internet. Stand up for yourself, this country is becoming a nazi state right before our eyes and we have to stop it!!

How are you abused?
Second hand smokes harms other people who have to be around you, in the workplace, a reataurant, etc.
You're abusing them when you smoke in front of them, so in essence, you are abusing other people by smoking.
That's unfair.
If you choose to smoke, do it alone, where no one has to be around you. That way, you're only hurting yourself.

It's not just Christians who are against smoking, either. I know of Christians who smoke.
Most people who are health conscious and who don't want to die from lung cancer choose not to smoke.

Probably, people who give you grief about smoking are only concerned for your health.

No, but others should not be abused by your smoking either.

Of course not. But don't feel alone. I get abused for it too, especially by some of my fellow Christians.

when your actions affect others, there should be consequences. the idiot that compared it to over-eating it crazy. your trip to McDonald's or that really great Chinese buffet doesn't bother me. your smoking does. while we are on the subject, why is it that smokers think that butts aren't littering. what happens to cig butts when they hit the ground? they stay for a while, the someone else has to pick the up!!!
be considerate of others, and they will be considerate of you...
