Do you love your neighbor, are you tolerant of people who are different, do you NOT judge others? I see many so-called Christians who violate even the most basic principles of Christianity.

ginalorean- You are right, no one is perfect but I see lots of room for improvement amongst alleged Christains. The same can be said for all religions, but it's "Christians" who I see doing this most often.

I am not judging, I am simply asking. I try to love by the principles of my religion and I am sad to see that many others do not even TRY.

Jon, you are right, phule_poet is the best answer so far. I see a lot of self righteousness and denial here. I will admit that I make mistakes, but I also attempt whole-heartedly to be kind and fair to all people and to find something in them deserving of love. I will not condemn anybody. I am actually not condemning Christians with this question, I am just trying to see if those who proclaim to be Christians are actually living up to their name. So far it's iffy.

The blatant fact is that FAR too many Christians ,by action or affiliation, deny two important but very crucial facts. (1) the ten commandments are rules set down by God and God alone and (2) God IS the only one able to Judge. Too many Christians and Christian groups behave as if they are the ones who decide when and where to apply the ten commandments and then go on to decide who is one of Gods chosen

I just re-dedicated my life to the Lord and I know that I am doing things wrong sometimes. God tells us that everyone sins, the great thing is that we are all forgiven. Just recently I was doing some bad things and I asked for forgiveness, I just felt like I wasn't forgiven because I knew it was wrong before I did it. I continued to sin in this same way for a while and when I told someone I couldn't do that anymore, we were sinning, they told me, it's okay as long as you ask for forgiveness. INow I know that God has forgiven me and I have to stop beating myself up. All sins are forgiven. You are judging others by asking this question. I will pray for you and everyone who feels the same way that you do.
God Bless!

I think that the reason you see Christians doing these types of sins most often is because you don't really know anybody of another religion, am I right? If you stop and realize that all people are created in God's image, nobody is perfect.

Yes I do. I am tolerant of everyone, I love my neighbor and I do not judge anyone as that was not a right given to me by God. He is the only one who can judge. It is so disheartening to see so many professing to be Christians yet they do not follow the teachings of Christ. Because of their actions they make it difficult for "true" christians as so many people assume we are all the same. I am not perfect either, and in fact as you know, none of us are. I fall very short in leading an exemplary life, but God reminds me when I do fail and I know He knows that I truly regret it when I do.

We can't do that on our own, just because we're Christians doesn't mean that we're perfect. It's God in us. When I soak in his presence, when I'm done, I always feel a lot better, and ready to be a better person.

not according to Jesus in Matthew 7:21-23 "“Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22 Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness"
notice how Jesus says MANY so the majority of christians will be rejected by Jesus and the worse thing if you analize the rejected christians were doing according to them a good job as a christian, but Jesus will reject that erronous worship to him, cause he was very clear to whom we must worship (John 4:23-24).

I do my best.
Everyone makes mistakes. No one is perfect. Christians who are honest will tell you that they make mistakes every day.
