I have a 2 yr old and 5 yr old (boys). I'd like to take better advantage of the time I have on the weekends with them. Since I work full time it seems like during the week I have to be the maid and cook more than mom during the evenings. Anyways, I want to plan a summer fun calander with fun events for the weekends. What are some ideas? I'd like to keep cost low so things we can do at home are best.

I don't want to overload her, maybe just 4-5 things. She already makes her bed in the morning.

We are very concerned that our english bulldog is acting weird. He is very docile, but obviously, he wants to play with our baby, but is this normal?> We are just scared that this is leading to violent behavior, which he is not accustomed to.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I spend the day changing diapers. Her butt is bleeding. The doctor tells me to add more fiber to her diet and reduce starches. I have done this and no improvement. Its been months and my baby is the same. Any moms out there with this problem please email me.

my son is so disinterested in life. it is like living with a bumb.

he gets suspended from school (all the time).

and personal hygiene, let's just say is not personal at all. he stinks!!
he won't take a bath or brush his teeth. deodorant is like cryptinite to him, he avoids it at all cost.

yes, i have to literally stand in the bathroom with him so he can bathe. put the deordorant on him. i have to brush his teeth or it want get done.

the father is in the home, and we both have to play tag team with him.

we have sought counselling, and this "do it for him, if he doesnt do it" was their solution.

but is this normal and would he grow out of it.
does anyone else has this type of problem and how do you deal with it?

Whenever I try to get my son to eat vegetables he takes one bite and makes himself gag and sometimes throw up. He has done this with medications also. One time I ended up having to have him take a shot because we couldn't get him to take the antibiotics.

Any suggestions?

I had my girlfriends 14yr old watch my grandson over the weekend. My husband was around however working away from home, her mother was next door as well if she needed anything.

I got home and she had left her dishes in the sink and they really stink. My husband had reminded her to do them, she said she would yet there they are. She did nothing around the house, his room is a mess. She was on the computer when my daughter came over to check and the boy was running around the house and watching toons. It was 80 degrees outside and they should have been outside. The one day they were out playing in the water she let him wear his hiking boots.

When I was her age I babysat. I did the dishes EVEN when they were not mine and I would pick up the house if it need be. I do not think sitting on your butt on the computer wathing TV and the like is enough. I am not sure if I am unreasonable or not and this is what I am asking. If you need more information let me know.

My good friend's son (who's practically like a nephew) is going to be a year old on Friday but they're having a big party on Saturday afternoon. (Daddy is a truck driver & won't be home til late Friday.) I want to get a present but I don't know what to get him cause I've never had to buy for a kid before. He hasn't seemed to take an interest in anything particular yet but is amused as long it plays music or makes noise. Anybody have any suggestions for what I could get him????

Okay, so my son is 23 months, I know he should have been off the bottle for a while now, but he only took one for bedtime, well, I am having the worst time with it. I give him a sippy cup, with just a little milk, and he doesn't want anything to do with it, he throws it out of his bed, and he screams. Its not just regular whiney behavior at bedtime now, he screams and cries so bad, that it makes me just want to give him his bottle. Does anyone have any tips on how I can get him off the bottle, maybe I am doing something wrong? Any help is appreciated!

I'm going to be nannying for 2 four year olds (boy and girl) (not twins, different marriages) and a 7 yr old(boy) from about 5 am to 6 or 7 pm. My main experience with children has been 2 to 3 year olds and infants! What do kids this age like to play with? To do? What are they capable of? I'd like some inexpensive imagination powered toy suggestions. Board games? Blocks? Help!

My daughter and I are moving (I'm a single Mom). I love the daycare that she's in now. I will be visiting several daycare centers in the new town in a couple of weeks. What in your expertise and opinion makes a good daycare. Should I weigh my decision on how many stars the facility has? I really want to find a place where we will both be happy and so I won't have to switch daycares on her again.

Thanks!

We recently got back from being in Europe for three weeks (2 in London and 1 in Belgium). She drank the milk in London sporadically and said it was yucky at times. But when we arrived in Belgium the milk there apparently has has turned her off so badly (she was gagging on it and literally almost threw up her cereal due to the taste) that will NOT drink any milk now that we're home. She will not even drink the organic milk I always brought for her prior to our holiday. She drank minimum three cups a day, now she doesn't drink any. It has me worried since she has really not had any milk for about three weeks now. I even brought her new sippy cups, straws, etc. and nothing works. Any suggestions on how I can get her to drink her milk again?? (And yes I know I can and have substituted with cheese and yogurt but I don't feel that is enough calcium for her).

I know that this isn't the most mature idea ever, but I don't care. Here's the deal: I'd been babysitting for this family (I've only babysat for them 4 times). I sat for them on T, W, Th last week when the mother left her child home (with someone she didn't even know) when he had a 104 degree temp. I told her on Tuesday that after this next week (the week we're in now) I wouldn't be able to sit for them anymore. This is exactly how I worded it "I hate to do this to you guys but I was offered a (position) at my job so I'll finish this week out and after next week I won't be able to babysit for you guys anymore". I was under the assumption that they would still need me this week. Well anyway, on Thursday (the last time I sat for them) right before I left, the child's fever spiked up to 105.8, and I called to check and see if he was okay on Thursday night and again on Saturday. The mother wouldn't answer her phone. Should I still show up tomorrow to babysit for them ?

My baby likes her bottles at night. She's 19 months and the iron in her milk is decaying her teeth + he dr said she can only have 2 bottles per day. She drinks from cups too and sips straws very well but at night she yearns for that bottle to keep her asleep. Even going to sleep she wants milk right before she goes. What do I do?

She seems to be a little late it everything compared to my other two children. My son walked at 14mos, but he's a boy and he was really big at that age. I know sometimes boys walk a little later than girls. My 2nd child (girl) walked right before her first birthday. Now, my 14 month old has taken steps but she just wants to crawl. In all honesty, I don't mind because I know she'll walk when she's ready. I just want to know if anybody else has had late walkers with no problems?

Thanks
