She knows what to do from start to finish, meaning she will go in the potty, wipe herself, flush and wash her hands. I just can't get her to learn when it is time to go. I tried pull ups and she thinks they are diapers. I have put her in underwear and she just pees in them. I just don't know what to do to get her to learn "the feeling". She also is beginning to dislike diapers. I don't know if I am just being impatient or if I am overlooking obvious signs. I would appreciate any advice.

My daughter was a preemie and she is 13 months old now and has been on milk for about a month and half. I am worried she is not getting enough vitamins b/c she is now a very picky eater she doesn't like veggies. So I am wondering if I should give her this stage 2 formula or if it is just a way for the companies to make more money.

She is 2yrs old. She came off the soother a couple months ago, but still sleeps with a blankey and has her bedtime/naptime bottles. How old is the right age to get rid of the bottle and bedtime feedings all together???

Ok, this is a good discovery and I don't know if anyone else does this.... I had run out of bibs in my bib drawer.. They were downstairs getting washed.... However, I had just bought a new pack of walmart microfiber cleaning cloths.. Just use and wash...So, what the heck ! Anyway, my mom used to work at a dentist so I had a set of those clamp thingies they use to hold the "dentist bib" . I may NEVER use a regular bib again ! Not only could my little one not take it off, it absorbed like crazy and for $4 I got 12- and I can also use them for cleaning... Just toss em in the wash... Just don't use fabric softner with em !!!! Oh and when it was time to wipe the lil' guy up it worked like a charm... I also have one designated in my bathroom I take my make-up off with it !!! Works awesome ! Tell me what you think !

I'm still in the angry stage. My 21 month old beautiful baby boy was just diagnosed autistic. It seemed like he changed overnight. Lost his speech, started staring at wheels on cars, walking on tippy toes, lines up shoes all day and bangs his head. It did all start shortly after these controversial vaccinations. I am now hating myself. I wish I had researched these vaccines then instead of now. He is starting Early Intervention and it is too soon to know what the future holds. Anyone have any thoughts?

My 3 year old daughter Lily has down syndrome. She is brilliant. She knows anything from figuring out any toy or puzzle to changing the batteries in her electrical toys! (though we don't let her) but she knows how!

She can figure anything out.

She is also a delight. The sweetest little girl around. Smiling and laughing and happy all the time!

BUT she does not speak yet and hardly signs any words. She also is very close but still is not walking on her own. She only takes a few steps here and there.

What I'd like to know is if you have been in a similar situation. Did you have a toddler with d.s. who was stubborn to learn new things and was slow learning many basic things but is now older and knows how to walk and talk, etc?

Is this a phase? Is there hope for me? I'm becoming very upset and worried.

Thank you.

I need some ideas; little money - and I'm not very creative! My son already gives him coloring book pages all the time and we already have a ton of pictures that we took a month ago so I need some new ideas. Thanks!

Do any other mums (or dads) get frustrated when parents take their kids to soft plays but don't supervise them. I'm not saying my girls (2 and 4 are perfect) but they know generally what is acceptable. One always comes home in tears as some other kid has done something to upset them - today - a boy throwing playballs at their faces at close range! Some mums are oblivious or don't seem to care!

I watch a toddler during the day and he bites me and my son when he gets mad or frustrated. I want to talk to her and figure out a solution together but don't know what to say. The thing that makes him bite the most is when he wants a toy my son has. I can't afford to buy two of all toys and don't have the space anyway.

he used to be very well behaved, model baby.slepped thru the night, used to eat well, play with his toys.all of a sudden he is changing, he demands more and more from me, crying after me"mamamama" a lot of the time, he is starting to be very fussy with his food.and seems to cry more then usual.he has started waking up at night. In between his nagging he still is the friendly cute boy that he is.
otherwise he is a perfectly healthy and well developed baby who has reached all his milestones.
We havnt changed his routine, neither have there been any changes in his day to day life.
i wanted to know is it just a phase that he is going thru, he could be teething,or is starting with his terrible 2's...LOL.is there something i can do.i have a 7.5 year old daughter who wasn't like this.i know one cant compare kids.
any advise will be greatly appreciated.
thanks

My 20 month old daughter often takes her diaper off at all times of the day. Even with clothes on she manages to take them off. My son never did that so I don't know how to keep her from taking it off and at times peeing on the floor. I'm starting to potty train her, but it's taking time, and she doesn't quite get it yet. Is there anything I can do so she wont take them off??

I've purchased several different toys for my boys when they were younger, but they only liked playing with something for a few minutes, and then they'd never play with it again. Instead they always loved going back to playing video games.
I dont want to make the same mistake with my daughter, I want to find something really special for her. Something she'll just love and wont get very bored with.
Any good suggestions?

Please go to http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19213392 to read the full report with listings moms. Many Thomas the Train items are being recalled. My little guy just started liking Thomas the Train and recently has been very ill. I just saw this flashing across the news screen and I am wondering if this is the reason for his illness. Please go check all those little wooden toys against the recalled list.

Updated: 6:10 p.m. ET June 13, 2007
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of various "Thomas & Friends" wooden railway toys.

i'm having alot of trouble trying to get my 3 year old daughter to poo in the toilet.she doesnt wear nappies anymore and has no problem using the toilet to pee, also have very few accidents at night but when it come to poo's she'll just refuse to go.she holds it in for days so i'll get worried it'll harm her..put a nappy on and she'll be dirty within half an hour either that or she'll do it in her pants. it's now made her constipated as its coming out like little pellets but i'm at a loss what to do.i dont want to force her to do it in the toilet as i feel pressuring her will make it worse but i'm scared of the damage it may cause if she keeps holding it in.anyone got any advice? thanks in advance x

I'm visiting my niece this weekend, and she's celebrating her 2nd birthday. What toys does your toddler girl LOVE that costs less than 30 dollars?

And, just to show I'm not a bad aunt, just leaving it up to strangers to come up with ideas for me, I'm thinking maybe...

a bubble-blowing kit to make huge bubbles outside
a fun sprinkler
a very very simple computer game (she LOVES the computer, and can't stand never being able to use it)

If anyone has experience with any of those items with their toddler, or can add to my list of possible gifts, please let me know :)

...And "yours" and "mine," etc? Or have I done something wrong? Or does it indicate a problem? If it's normal, when do they usually start to use them correctly? Thanks!

My son is 19 months old and he goes to bed fine (usually) no bottle, no soother, and then he wakes up 1 hour later screaming, he has no ear infection and is not sick, it is just a habit he has picked up because we used to go get him. The only way he will go back to sleep is by leaving him in his bed to cry. Is anyone else going through this with their child? He sleeps all night after crying and we want him to learn to fall asleep on his own.
