Is it okay to give the coconut juice to a 9 month old baby?

do you think it will cause any problems to the baby's digestive system? i mean i know some people who have given their babies the juice of the coconut, they said its good for them, but still wondering about others experience, IF anybody has ever! lol

Well I mean they don't need it, but I don't see any reason not too. I probably wouldn't dilute it if it is 100% coconut with no sugar added as coconut juice is really high in water.

I dont agree with dryheatdave. Pure coconut milk is used to cure diarrhea. I don't see anything wrong with giving this juice to your child but I wouldn't give to him/her straight. i would dilute it quite a bit. Maybe put one once coconut juice and 2 ounces water. If you don't see any reactions by the next day than you are probably safe to give it to him/her maybe diluted 50-50 with water as you may already do with other juices.

Yes she/he should do fine. unless allergic to it. I would never give too much of even a good thing. Because then it becomes a bad one. You should also refrain from putting any juice in the babies bottle. This will lead to tooth decay. Take my nephew's word for it. He is only five and has had five trips to the dentist.(cavities). I have breast fed all five of mine and the first was the only one who had a bottle after 6 mo.(Had difficulties) When I gave him juice it was always diluted and in a sip-pee cup. Good Luck!!

Watching Survivorman one time. He was stuck on a island, with little except coconuts. He said he needed to get something apart form coconut milk/juice, as on it's own, it can give a person diorhea. If it can do that to an adult..................

its just like any other juice, give her a small amount in water to see if she has a reaction to it, and if its fine then give her some, just don't overdo it. Juice has alot of sugar and babues don't need much of it.
