Your ideas sound great. Lots of the two year old girls I know LOVE Dora the Explorer...anything and everything Dora related. Dolls, books, blankets or a pillow in the shape of favorite cartoon character. I'm not sure if you have a Target near you but they have really cute cartoon character sprinklers.
A Sit & Spin might be fun for her too. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2264694&cp=&sr=1&f=Taxonomy%2FTRUS%2F2254197&origkw=sit+and+spin&kw=sit+and+spin&parentPage=search

With all three of my girls, their favorite toys at that age were stuffed animals/dolls! The oldest had a pink bear that she named "Kay," and everything she did was about Kay - dressing Kay up, feeding Kay, taking Kay to the doctor, etc. The second two were twins, and one had a "Molly Dolly" from The Big Comfy Couch that got loved so much, her little red nose wore right off. The other one had a blanket trimmed in satin that had a lamb's head on one corner - her "Lambie" went everywhere with her. To this day (the girls are now 14, 10, and 10) those three things are among their most prized possessions. So, I guess I am saying stay away from the technical toys (like computer games) or toys that only have one use (like a sprinkler toy), and go for something more classic that involves the use of imagination and interaction with others. Those seem to be the ones that stand the test of time....
Hope this helps!

you can never go wrong with bubbles at any age. my 4 yr. old has been into anything that produces bubbles since 6 months old. my advice as a parent would be to get something that the parent could pour the bubbles in and switch on. walmart and target have fun disney characters that do this for @ $10. buy some bubbles to pour in and your set. sprinkler toys are fun but we've learned the best way is the sprinkler system. the water covers a wider range and the grass doesn't get flooded in one area. good luck.

simple art kit, maybe crayons, markers, coloring books finger paints. Toddlers love this stuff and its a great way to express their creativity. No to the computer game, you want to expose children to the computer but when done at such a young age, its not good for the childs development. And the Bubble blowing kit would be a good idea. And maybe a babydoll and stroller she would enjoy playwing with that. hope i helped :D

Anything with buttons and makes noise. And it must be pink or purple for my daughter. My daughter's favorite toy as of this moment is a giant cardboard box that came from a furniture store. But for an actual birthday present I would give a toy that plays hmm ?music?. You know something that would annoy the parent.

My 2 year old loves the hard plastic pool we got for her. It is only a foot and a half deep. It cost all of $9.00 She fills it, puts her toys in and swims like she knows what she is doing. She is so funny and tries to act so grown up in it. I can't keep her out of it, and it really helps to tire her out. I sit on the porch and watch her play. The sprinkler thing didn't work for me since she wants to hold it, and will fight me to get it in her hands. I also got her one of those leap frog computers and she just loves playing the songs and learning the ABC's 123's. And Dora, oh just anything Dora she can't get enough of, a Dora doll for bedtime, a Dora doll for the bathtub or swimming pool, a Dora purse. You'd be amazed how many different things that come in Dora. I got her a three wheeler Dora just her size, and she is now learning to pedal it, and puts it in the pool to wash it.

My toddler loves anything LeapFrog. esp. the Spanish talking Lily doll.
She LOVES all the items you have thought up of already. She has a fun Barbie game that cost about 25 dollars and is simple to use.

You could get her a toy computer. VTech makes a laptop for $20 bucks that my daughter loves.
Washable markers, paints, etc.
Mega blocks are always good.
It's about to be baby doll time, so you could get her one of those.
But, the Bubble thing will be a great hit, as will a sprinkler.

My little one will be three next month but for her second birthday we got her a non-spill bubble thing, you can buy them at target or k-mart, walgreens just about anyware! they have this cool doamed lid so they won't spill she loved it, another great idea is fisher price's snap n' style dolls, they are like barbies for little ones, all the cloths just "snap" on. we have like 6 dolls and all the clothes and they are a HUGE hit when ever little girls come over to play aged from 18months to 10. they all just love them, ebay also always has lots of them for fairly cheep.

My daughter just turned 2 on Monday; she loves Dora and Happy Feet right now. Maybe a table and chair set, crayons and coloring books, purses, dress up stuff, Childrens DVD's, clothes, shoes, bath toys etc. Hope this helps.
