Hi, my wife takes our little girl to mothers and toddlers, she goes every other day. The local church also has a mothers and toddlers which is packed with toys, kids and also gives my wife to chat about general toddler stuff. By the way we're not church goers but my Daughter loves it. I'm sure you can find similar groups in your area. Good luck.

we were in Cardiff recently for a holiday and Cardiff library had lots of story time and activity time sessions for toddlers. Also we found that the leisure centres had softplay / bouncy castle type sessions that were fairly cheap and where you could go on a casual basis.

Have a look on the web or telephone directory for mother and toddler groups in your area, Try yell.com. They're good as your child gets to socialise with other children they're age and you get to meet new people as well.
Good Luck xx

look in your local library, see if there are any notices up about playgroups.
or ask your nearest infant school if they have a mother & toddler group. When my 2 sons were little, that's what I did. I then got to know other mums, and when my kids went to the actual school, I used to help out in the classrooms.

It has details of Parent and Toddler Groups that you may be interested in. Also look up lesiure centres, community centres, churches for groups and fun clubs (like baby signing, tots exercise etc)

Those are all great ideas....also check out meetup.com for playgroups etc. Also, check with your local parks authority most have classes and playdates as well and they are usually not expensive.

toddler groups, park, swimming, etc. Ask your health visitor and she should have a list of mother and toddler groups.
