All you can really do is keep an eye on your sons hair for the next 2 to 3 wks. If you are reallly worried about him catching it, you can shave your sons head. Not completely bald but a short short brush cut will be good enough. The lice like it warm so they won't like it on your sons head if his hair is super short. If you don't want to shave his head, then just keep checking his hair behind the ears, the crown of his head and the nape of his neck. These are the places that lice like to hide the most. You could also wash all of the things that your nephew touched like toys for instance or you can put them in a black garbage bag and stick them in the freezer for 2 wks. Any clothes, blankets or bedding that may have been touched, should be washed in hot water. Don't worry, lice cannot jump or fly so there is only need to wash the things that the nephew came in contact with. Vaccuum wherever your nephew has been. Especially the carpets and furniture like couch and chairs and mattresses providing he was on any of these. It is very dangerous to use the spray when you have a baby in the house because he can breathe it in or get it on his hands and then possibly in his mouth. I would avoid using the spray.

You should not spray your house to remove lice. Lice are commonly referred to as head lice because they live on the head or other places on the body that have hair covering. Go to your local pharmacy and look for RID or one of the other lice products. If you have a bad long term problem you might have to wash your clothing. If so use the hottest water setting that you can. Also with a young child you have the option of just cutting off all the baby's hair. No hair no lice.

A common trick while on the road is to spend the day in the ocean. most insects can't stand salt water and will abandon you it you spend a lot of time in the water.

The lice removal products also have many suggestions and more concise explanations than I could provide.
Good luck.
