You're childrens "father" almost kills them...says he doesn't recollect any of it because he was on things that impaired his thinking...He "loves" his sons and finally wants to do the right thing yet Monday we go to court for DNA because I no longer will make our family work and refuse to talk to him...Hmm do you blame me?...He has to be in the same room as my sons and I for the test...My sons have not had any contact with him since Christmas...I refuse to let that into there lives any longer...Long story short HOW DO I KEEP MY SONS FROM HAVING ANY CONTACT WITH HIM WITHOUT THEIR FEELINGS GETTING HURT? it is court ordered for them not to talk with him outside of Department of Family and Children (which he has yet to do)... I have 3 days to figure this out

My 3 month old girl, Annika, screams hysterically throughout all of her diaper changes. This has only just occured in the last week. I've tried putting her play gym of toys on the change table to keep her occupied, but that doesn't take her mind of it. I've tried talking to her and smiling with her, but she's just not interested. The minute I pick her up again, she's fine, and couldn't be happier. What's going on, and is there something I can do to fix it, or is it a grin and put up with it situation?

I don't have any idea why this happens, but everytime my son gets excited, or is wrestling with daddy... and Everytime he starts laughing, everytime he inhales he makes a bad gasping sound... He doesn't have asthma, and there is no wheezing in his chest, but he does this all the time... What could be causing this??? I am concerned because he has never had this problem before, and it is only when he is exerting himself.... (that is why I had previously though about asthma.) He is 2 years old, and has a clean medical history, other than reoccuring ear infections.. (which have been taken care of with tubes...) He is not getting a cold, nor has he been sick.. Any ideas thank you.

she goes to bed at 730 pm & now sleeps till 530am but is then ready to get out of bed. I'm just dragging. She used to wake up 2 times per night because she was used to getting the boob everytime she woke up. Then she slept till at least 7 am. I just weaned her off the night feedings slowly over the past 2 weeks. Do you think she just needs time to adjust to this new uninterupted sleep before she decides to stay in bed longer? Is there something I can do to convince her to go back to sleep at 530 am? should I maybe send my husband in her rm that early in the morning to put her back to sleep? All she wants when she wakes up is her boobi and after that she wont sit still anymore. Maybe I should not give her the boob that early. Maybe I should wait till at least 6 am to give it to her? has anyone been through this? what did u do.
Also please dont answer this if you are just gonna apprehend

Last week I started my daughter's nightime potty training. At the end of the week, my daughter was getting out of her bed, and asking for the toilet. I felt that we had gone round the corner and was sorted with it.
Now, for 5 days on the trot we have had nothing but accidents. What do I do now? Am I expecting too much? I really, really don't want to go back to nappies. I REALLY don't want to go back to nappies.

My Daughter is nearly 40 Months. (Her third Birthday was in November.) We're planning to begin our 2nd chance at potty training...We have tried rewards, stickers, smarties, bubbles etc...Bought special panties, and MANY packages of panties..New potty seat, and a colourful stool for the toilet. She sits on the toilet, but she never goes in the potty..She doesn't sit for very long, then she asks for a diaper. What else can we do with her to help her move along with the potty training? Any ideas will be considered. Thanks Alot everyone!! :D

On December 28, 2006 my 3 year old daughter suddenly started stuttering. She had a sinus cold at the time. I was totally freaked out by it, so i rushed her to the ER where she had a CT scan. The test came back normal. I was then referred to a neurologist, where he sent her for an EEG & MRI, which all came back normal too. I left the neuroligist with no idea of what caused this, and the doctors had no clue either. A few days after the tests, her cold cleared up and the stuttering went away. well not completely away but it was 99% better than when it first started. Six weeks went by, now she has another cold (runny nose, chest conjestion & cough) and is stuttering again! I am baffeled by the whole situation, and frustrated by the lack of answers from the doctors. Have any of you had or heard of this problem before? If so, what are your suggestions? Its heart breaking having a child that was able to speak so well and so clearly, and now struggeling to say the word mommy.

Okay, here's the deal. I have heard from any older people that their children were potty trained by 1. My oldest was tained by the time she was 2 and my youngest is just about there. She will be 2 in April. I think that seems pretty good yet I constantly hear my parents and inlaws bragging about mine and my husband's milestones. According to our parents, we were both potty trained by the time we were 1. Is it really true that kids were doing things much earlier years ago?

My mother lives in Oregon and I live in Texas. My mother is having a hard time with the long distance between her and her grandson. She lived very close to her other grandchildren and was a very big part of their lives. I try to close the gap by sending her pictures, I have let my son pound on the keyboard and email it to her (she seems to get a kick out of his emails), and I have made dvd's with video clips of him so she can see him in action. Does anyone have any other ideas I can do so she feels apart of his life and as he gets older he can feel apart of her life?

My son will be a 1 year old next month, and a lot of people have asked if he is potty trained yet. I was shocked because he isn't and doesn't seem anywhere close to being on that stage. I haven't bought a training seat yet, but should I? When should I start training him to use the toilet?

My son is four and this year is his first year of preschool, or any formal sort of social group.. he has never been in daycare... He is the youngest one in his class and met the cut off day by 5 days.. In November at parent teacher confernces the teacher was concerned he wasnt on track with where he should be .. like knowing colors, letter, alphabet, numbers ect.. so we agreed to wait more weeks and work with him one on one and see where we could get.. yestarday we met again and she was still concerned that he wasnt doing his alphabets and only knew 6 colors and would only count in order some times.. she asked what we wanted to do I said if he has made progress lets go another six weeks and meet again. and then decide another year of preschool. special ed or kindergarden... I know he knows how to count and colors and shapes but I see him not wanted to do it, he would rather socialize... anyone else have a son who was delayed or a child who lacked effort..any advice opions or resources?
