He may have a partial blockage, which can happen in male cats. He could still use the box but also have uncontrollable need to pee where he is. Get him checked, it can be life-threatening. As far as the bed, you may need to break the habit. First, you need to eliminate the proteins that keep cats coming back again and again. I use Nature's Miracle but there are many good brands. Be sure not to saturate the mattress because the liquid (and pee odor) can spread through pillow-top mattresses. Next, cover the whole bed - on top of everything - with a freshly cleaned blanket just to sop up any peeing he might do. WASH it as soon as possible with any new pee to discourage repeats. Keep the bed covered when you are away. And, you could put boxes across the whole bed so he has no where to jump on/ lay on. Keep your bedroom door closed, if possible. Squit him with a water bottle if you catch him in the act, and make a hissing noise or sharp "Psst!" noise at the same time. Make sure he feels safe to use the box. Keep in a private area.. cats like privacy. Be sure the box is always kept clean and fresh. You might try distraction for the window issue. Get him a climbing pole that you rub down with catnip. Cats do get bored. Lifes

Funny you should mention this. We're shopping for a king size bed today. I had my third son earlier this month. My oldest two stay in their own beds for the most part. They are 6 & 4 and used to sleep with us but easily made the transition to their own beds. However, every now and then they find their way to our room in the middle of the night. I having to turn them away because of the wee one. There is just no room at the moment. So, we're going to get a King. If you decided to go that route just make sure it will fit in your room . They take up a lot of space.

It depends on your size, your husbands size, and the childs size.
Personally we have a queen bed that my son shares with us every other night and it is a little tight, but before we got the queen we had a double and he fit with us there also. It just depends on what you can afford. It can be done but the more room you have the more comfortable and happy you all will be!!

its simple... they sell this kind of bed that is a bunk bed and you can pull out another one from underneath. the kids can sleep on the bunks and you can sleep on the pull out so you wont be stuck in the middle. Hope this helps!

If all of you are pretty sound sleepers and dont roll around a lot, queen should be sufficient (my parents had one years ago and it fit both of them and one of the kids-two when we were real little). If you need more room go with a king.

Bad idea to get into that habit. I suggest that you try really hard to make them comfotrtable and feel safe in their own room. It is a hard time for a child moving house, so make it a fun experience. The child may feel a bit confused if he/ she has to sleep with you. The child might wonder if it is safe there. And if so why are you making the child sleep with you.
