What size are the bumps? If they are about the size of a small blister, it could very well be chicken pox. They generally start on the tummy, back or face and spread to the warmest areas of the body first, and keep on going from there. Has she had a new type of juice that she hasn't had before? Or too much citrus juice? It could also be a reaction. The best thing to do it keep an eye on it. Watch her temperature. Chicken pox usually brings a bit of a fever. Also, call your pediatrician and make an appointment for her to see him/her as soon as possible.

It's not Chicken Pox... but there two thing that can cause those red bumps (1) sweat blister (sweat's building up in those area and causing those bumps) and/or (2) she can have an allergic reaction to the detergent that you use (if you recently changed brands) in both scenarios get Aveenos Bath Treatment: is a powder that comes in box of six pouches and you can find them just about any Pharmacy or Walmart..

chicken pox generally have a 'blister' type appearance...do the red bumps your daughter has look like that? it is so hard to tell from just a general term of red bumps....
also, chicken pox tend to break out in 'warm spots' like under the arms and on the torso first....and sometime will erupt more if you put the child in a warm bath.
try a site like wikipedia.org and see if you think that might be what she has...they give a good description of it..and include pics.

With chickenpox - the rash generally starts on the trunk - tummy and back - but not always. Are there more spots today? New chickenpox spots can keep appearing for up to five days. If the bumps look the same today as they did yesterday, call her doctor just for an opinion, they may tell you to watch for a day or two to see if the rash changes or spreads.

Didn't she get a shot for that? My daughters did, so they will never catch it. But I would do some research on google. Type in chicken pox and hit images, this will show you what the outbreaks look like. When I got it, I got it on my head first. Do they itch? I might just be a reaction to a new soap detergent or bath soap? Have you given her a bubble bath lately?
