She does eat healty, alot of veggies & fruits, but she doesn't eat other things. I know the most important thing is that she's eating healty and there is no question about that, I just wanna know is there any way to get her to eat other things. Like for example I can't think of any kind of meat she eats, although she loves bread & butter. Plus everything that she does eat has to be in this postion or looks a certain way or whatnot lol

My daughter has been vomitting since last night. She has had very bad smelling gas and two very runny bowel movements. When she's awake, she acts perfectly normal. Any time we actually get her to eat or drink something, it eventually comes back up. Any ideas on what to give her that might actually stay down? We've given her Tylenol, but that just seems to keep her fever down, nothing else.

Thanks in advance.

We want to watch the show tonight and I am stumped on how to keep our three year old girl entertained while we watch. I figure it is only so long she will want to color or do a puzzle. Thought I would see if anyone had any creative ideas. They need to create toddler academy award bingo....look for a lady in a red dress...look for a man with a beard...

I am a stay at home mom, and recently started babysitting. I have a 7 year old, a 4 year old, and 20 month old twins. I babysit a 2 year old and a 3 month old. I'm looking for something the kids can all together, with the exception of the baby of course. I would take them outside, but it rains all the time. That and the all have runny noses right now, I don't want anyone to get sick. Does anyone have any craft ideas, and or games that they can play inside? Thanks!

We just moved in this house-- which is pretty old, and there is one room, without a door- and then a bigger "added on" room (that leads to backyard) but it has a door... anyway, we put him in the smaller room- but... it doesn't have a door. and he has a "big boy" bed, and lately when we lay him down, he just get out of his bed, and comes out. getting a door would be very expensive, because the shape of the door opening is large, and wide, and does not have the normal cut in the corner for the hinges... Anyways, any ideas?? moving out is not an option ... we have this house at a very good deal from family... its only 800 a month, w/ a view of the ocean, it just needs a LOT of work...

Does anyone here buy frozen foods for their toddler from Whole Foods? I'm fairly nutrition conscious but would like to have quick easy meals like chicken nuggets for my kiddo. I don't shop at Whole Foods on a regular basis so if I go out of my way to shop there, I want to know that there will be a good selection of foods I can by my toddler. Any suggestions?

Does your child seem to loose interest if they have too many of the same kind of toy or does it increase their interest? My 21mo old daughter likes those Groovy Girl dolls and I found some on sale for $4.00 so I bought her a few more (she now has a total of 7) and it seems like she is almost overwhelmed by having so many and doesn't play with them as much.
My daughter is also interested in My Little Pony and has 3, should I reconsider starting a collection of them for her?
She has tons of books and never seems to get tired of sorting through them and looking at them. What's going on?

My little girl is 2.5 and since 12 months old HATES her hair being washed. We've tried everything, in bath, on draining board, with showerhead, with cup, with shower shield.
She screams blue murder everytime. It's getting me down. Any handy hints that have worked for other parents? And how often do you wash your childs hair?

I have a little girl who is turning 5 in a couple of weeks. She knows all of her letters and most of her sounds. She is very serious about learing how to read. She decided she wanted to do this herself (she is only in preschool). She is very prould when she remembers the word. However, because she is so young she doesn't remember all of them and gets frustrated. Do you have any advice on how to keep her encouraged? And, any advice on ways to teach her to read? What worked for you?

Just recently my 2 year old son started hitting and pushing the other children at his daycare. But he only does it there. He has many cousins in his age range and there is never any violence between them. And he doesn't see his father or me hitting or anything like that. How do I get this under control?

My parents really do dote on my toddler. But sometimes they can go to extremes. Just the other day, we were at my uncle's place and they handed him an ornament of my uncle's (without permission from him and which I know is priceless to him) to play just because my toddler was wanting it. Then, subsequently, they let him bang on my uncle's piano again without permission. I put a stop to it and of course my baby started yelling, to which my mom's response was to scoop him up and console him, saying all the while "Naughty mommy". I was really quite mad at them. My boy spends the day with my mom while I am at work and I'm worried about discipline with him. I've tried talking to my parents but they think I'm overreacting. Any ideas what I can do?

My daughter is really well behaved with me. But when her dad walks into the room she goes crazy. she starts grabbing his legs, trying to bite, jumps all over him, and laugh uncontrollable.
he works from home, and so it's not like she doesn't see him.
Why does she do this?

He wasn't cursing anyone or anything. He was just non-chalantly repeating it while playing alone. I was horrified, but I didn't confront him about it; afraid that if I told him its a bad word then he might use it in an inappropriate rebellious moment. Should I tell him, or should I just divert his attention if he ever says it again?

The other night, we woke up to him playing in the living room with his toys @ 3 in the morning. He climbed in bed with us this morning @ 5. I don't know what to do!!! His sleeping scheduelle is all messed up now & no one is getting enough sleep.

Apprently this is some sort of staph infection. My sister's b/f pretty much lives with her, he's there all the time. And I read that this stuff is VERY contagious and quite hard to get rid of.

I have a 3 year old daughter and my sister is upset with me because I won't let her go over there to play with her kids because I don't want her to catch this.

If anyone can tell me more about it I would be very grateful.

Also, do you think I'm doing the right thing by not letting my daughter over there?

Anybody have a toddler who is extremely opinionated? Mine likes to position my husband and I around the house exactly where she wants us. If we don't do what she wants she becomes very upset. Just recently she has decided Mommy isn't good enough. I used to be everything to her, now I'm just the one who cleans her off after meals and puts her to bed. She still needs me if she hurts herself, but otherwise, she wants to be with other people. She even prefers my brother-in-law's girlfriend over me. She tells me to "go" when she's around. She calls for daddy in the mornings and only gets out of her crib if I ask her if she wants to go see daddy. She also has decided hitting me is the best way to get what she wants. She knows timeout and I do follow through with it because hitting isn't acceptable, but it's always me she hits. Any other moms having this problem? I feel like I'm only good to meet her needs and nothing else.
