My son just spent the week with his dad and his grandparents. He has come back home expecting to get his way all the time. He screams at me until I give in, I know they must have done that while they had him because he knew better before he left with them. He's like a totally different kid. He also is throwing major tantrums, throwing himself on the floor and arching his back while screaming, and turns red in the face. How do I get him to stop acting this way?

My child is 3 and 2 months old. I am having a tough time teaching my kid A B C D and some other pre school stuff. He is very frisky and does not want to concentrate on what I am telling him. Probably books are not a good idea for him at the moment. He likes rhyms and enjoys when I play some on the laptop. So maybe, if anybody could suggest some sites for teaching abcd and other things for kids..i will appreciate it.

Our healthy baby girl vomits nearly daily, usually from trying a food she doesn't like, gagging on an apple peel or something else despite out efforts to keep touchy food out of the way, sometimes from a hard cry, sometimes because she sticks her finger in her throat, we have no bolemia in the family, the docs don't have any idea, has anyone else had this issue and any ideas for solutions? thank you so much.

My 11 month old does not crawl in the conventional sense, but scoots around on her bottom. Now, no matter if she is wearing shorts or long pants, is on the carpet or linoleum, she gets a red burn on each leg. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to prevent or at least soothe this?

My daughter is going to be one on the 11th and she is not walking yet. She is still crawling. I have fed her the gerber graduate meals, veggies, fruits, and meat sticks and she did fine. Is she expected to feed herself or do they feed her? Thanks.

but omg she has changed she has been trying to bite me, she hits if you tell her of she squels and snatches off of other kids.
is this a normal stage or is it because shes reacting to her start at daycare need to stop this behaviour as new baby on the way.

My dad will sometimes want to come over so he can see the boys and then when he gets here all he does is watch TV, play tetris, go on the internet or read something. Then when it's time to go he wants the boys to hug and kiss him goodbye. They rarely want to do it on their own initiative. It's something I almost have to force them to do. I know that my older son (4) says he doesn't like it when grandpa tickles him when he gives hugs. I remember when I was little my dad always had to get in a tickle when he hugged me or a whisker rub. I hated both. Now he's doing it to my kids and they don't like it either. Even though my son has told him he doesn't like it when he tickles him, while he hugs him he still does it sometimes. And at my parents house my dad is a little more interactive with them but not much. It probably doesn't help that their other granpa is wonderful with them. Should I force my kids to hug their grandpa? How can I get them to like him more?

She cleans her room if she made to do so. She sometimes helps fold wash rags. She is also helping to set and clear table. She has also started putting some of her own laundry away. Is this enough?

I have two little girls. The oldest is 5 and the youngest will be 3 in March. They fight like cats and dogs. My oldest is always yelling at my youngest, but my youngest can hold her own. I have finally started coming down pretty hard on my oldest for yelling all the time. I'll swat her and walk out the room and she is yelling again. I don't know what to do with her. My youngest doesn't listen. I have to tell her more than three times to do something... anything. Most of the time they are good, but when they want to be bad, the horns come out. They have been sharing a room all along and I asked my oldest if she wanted her own room. She said yes, so I have been trying to clean out the spare room. I don't know if this will solve the problem. I know they will fight cause that is just being siblings, but they are soo bad sometimes. Any suggestions?

I live at my parent's house and my 5 yr old niece is living there as well (my brother and his wife have always left my mother to care for there daughter.. only once did they take her home to actually care for her and that was done to "get back" at my mom after an argument between my sister in law and mom, that only lasted a few months and she was brought back -apparently her mother is tired and needs time to herself)
ANYWAY, I am continuously finding my niece with her hands in her pants rubbing herself, sometimes even pressing against it with her fingers and I have also found her "mounted" on the side of my 2 year old's table rubbing her crotch on the edge of the table. My mom has taken her to the dr to make sure there is no rash or anything like that. She was told everything looked fine. Is this normal?

I found out a couple of days ago that my 3 1/2 year old half brother died. I was upset, but of course my Dad and Stepmom got it worse. So I put my feelings aside to try to console them. I'm just not sure how to. They live in a different country than me. We're halfway around the world from each other. They have 3 other kids, but the 3 1/2 year old was the youngest. He didnt deserve to die. What should I do?

What do you think should happen to this mother?
This mother's child (toddler) was found wondering on an interstate in Indiana only a soiled diaper, shirt and no shoes. Thank goodness a by passer called it in and stopped and retrieved the child before he was hit by a passing car. Its been on the news and very heartbreaking. How could a mother be so careless and let her toddler run free while she is asleep? I will have nightmares about this.

My daughter is now 3 yrs old and we have tried her toddler bed several times over the past year and ever time she has been nothing but trouble by getting out of her bed and pulling everything out of the dressers or getting into the baby power or destin. and then we would put her back in the crib and then we tried again and she decided to instead of playing with stuff that she was going to keep coming out to the living room to see what my husband and i were doing or ask for a drink every time and so on.....but now i don't know what to do cause she tried for the first time yesterday to climb out of her crib and fell right on her back. but i know if i put her in the toddler bed again she is just going to cause trouble again becasue she is one of the kids that always has to be touching and doing something when she is not confined. if anyone has any suggestions on what to do so that she doesn't hurt herself again and so that she isn't keep my husband and i up all night please let me know.
