Dont give him any hone remedies. Put him on a liquid diet like water and pedialite (someone suggested ginger ale - thats good too and sips is the best thing dont let him drink too much to soon) and take him to his doctors. Most pediatricians will get you in the same day for things like this. Good Luck and I hope he feels better soon.

Vomiting is a symptom of many illnesses and, in children, should generally not be discouraged. Exceptions can be made if your child is not able to take ANY fluids in or if the cause is known not to be infectious. As others have already very appropriately stated, fluids, in small, frequent sips is the key. While your child is not feeling well, they are not required to eat solid foods, but MUST continue to drink. Encourage him to have a sippy cup with his favorite drink on hand at all times and take, again, frequent but small sips. Pain here is usually caused by the irritation of repeatedly throwing up. After having recently vomited , any stomach distension, with large amounts of fluid or solid foods will certainly cause him to puke again. All of this being said, if he refuses to drink; is failing to keep down ANY fluids;has a decrease in the amount of times he is peeing; stops making tears or becomes excessively fussy or sleepy you should see your doctor or the ER as these would be signs of serious dehydration. Fever, itself is not a mandate for an ER trip but certainly does increase his need for fluids, so keep the sippy cup full. Good luck,

Wow, that answer was harsh. I am the mother of three and 43 so....You can rehydrate with pedialyte or gatorade. Just make sure they are drinking even if it is a tablespoon at a time. You also should be aware of dehydration sign. Does he/she still have tears? If not she is not getting enough fluids. Does your child have a temperature? If she becomes listless then it is definitely time ti visit the ER

Sometimes the doctor can prescribe suppositories to help relieve the vomiting and pain. We usually just sip on Gingerale, it helps soothe the stomach. Not much at a time, just sips.

No dont give the child anything at all. Go to the store and buy some pedialyte popsickles and give him those or the pedialyte drink. If he cant keep them down go to the ER he can easily become dehydrated and thats dangerous for young people.

Keep your child hydrated. If he cant hold anything down you need to go to the ER. Dehydration happens quickly. My daughter has been in the hospital for 4 days now for this very same thing.I am not going to recommend anything to you, as I am not a doctor or Pharmacist. However, I will tell you that we use Emetrol for our children. It was recommended by the local pharmacist.

Honestly my pediatrican says nothing... you need to give him pedialite serving for every time that he throws up to bring up his electrolytes. No Dairy products. Simple juices that aren't high in acid and simple food like crackers and soup. Whatever he has needs to get out of his system. Have you taken him to a doctor?

room temp shaken (to get the fizz out) sprite. not much at all though- maybe 1/4 cup just to settle him (plus it doesn't taste bad if you throw it up). 1 or 2 saltines and pedialyte.

"BRAT" diet. Bananas, rice, applesauce and toast. Also add in some pedilyte or water to keep him hydrated. Keep an eye on the temp too.
