for about 2 weeks now, my son absolutely screams and throws a fit if i take his shoe's or clothes off. He'll carry his shoe's over to me and cry for at least 20 minutes until ill put them back on him. He even has me put them on over his pajamas. At first I thought it was funny, now I'm wondering how long this is going to last. Anyone else every expierence a problem like this?

My 4 year old is potty trained during the day but I still need either a pull up or a diaper in at night. She has good nights where she will wake up and tell me she has to go potty and then there are mornings she wakes up totally wet. There has been times I even let her go to bed with just panties on and she will sleep throu wetting herself. Should I be concerened. She will be 5 in Aug.

my 2 1/2 year old son. And I don't. He keeps saying that if we don't spank him he will walk all over us. I just think that hitting results in hitting. Plus when he spanks my son my son comes and hits me for it, because he is mad that I am allowing daddy to spank him I guess. What should I do about this? Do you think that my husband is wrong? I don't say anything in front of my son when he gets spanked by his Dad (like don't do that or how could you so my son is not hearing things like that) Any opinions and help would be appreciated. Thanks.

My son is almost 16 months and he isn't walking by himself yet. He still needs to hold on to something, for support. He gets around fine doing that, and can crawl super fast and his motor skills are great. He's a big boy already 30 pounds and he's very tall already. My husbands side of the family are very tall/large people but healthy too. Anyone else have issues with walking? My first son, was smaller and walked much faster. Oh and my pediatrician isn't worried because of his size, but as a mother I just want him to take that step without support... Any good advice? Thanks in advance!!

The preschool he is now isn't academic oriented. He enjoys learning and is very bright so I think it would be great for him. What do you think of it?

I'm trying to give each of my toddlers a space they can call their own and truly enjoy but I have friends that think I over do it. Is it wrong to paint your childs room in fun colors and dress it up with their favorite characters? Am I just a normal parent or am I spoiling them?

My preschooler wants to invite some of his classmates to his upcoming 5th b-day party. There are several childern I planned to invite that he regularly plays with and who's parents I see when I pick him up. Recently, my son spilt the beans about his party at school and several kids asked me if they could come... My dilemma is... my son's class has 11 kids. I really can't afford to invite them all (assuming half of them would come with their parents and possibily other siblings). I also invite children of close friends as well, so there would be ALOT of kids. What is the polite way to handle invitations to his classmates? I don't want to hurt the non-invited childern's feelings.

She is only one years old and she is learning how to hit. She started hitting me and my boyfriend (Dad) and its starting to get worse. I think she is learning from this boy who is 2 years older than her, I have witnessed him hit her a couple times. He is a little brat and I feel I am about to spank the **** outta him if his mom doesn't do anything (she has seen it before, and just tells him "no" that's it).
ps. Of course I wouldn't spank him, its just how I feel.

My husband and I threw our son his first birthday at the skating Rink here last year and spent about 300 dollars. My daughter is turning 3 soon, and we're already at the 100 dollar mark on just decorations and favors! How did it get so expensive? So my question is: How much do you spend on your toddlers/children's birthdays and what are some ways you can save money and still have a great party?

Yesterday, i picked my son up from daycare and he had this big red mark right below his eye (like someone had pinched him) and it is still swollen. The teacher that was there when i picked him up said that she didn't know what happened to his eye and that it was like that when she got there that afternoon. So i asked his teacher in the morning time what happened and she just kind of blew if off like he fell or something. But that isn't what it looks like. It looks like something pinched him because you can see where the blood has risen to the top of his skin and has been swollen for two days. Should i say something to the owner or just let it go?

why i ask this is because i have just had a text off my daughters dad saying she has put weight on and we need to nip it in the bud. my daughter is a normal sized 5 year old and all she has is a rounded tummy. i am a bit concerned because he is weight obsessed and when we was together her used to control my eating and even said i was fat. i was in a size 12 and 10st. might be big for a 5ft women but i am pushing 6ft. she does have a varied diet but i dont restrict her eating but because we are in the middle of winter she hasnt been out playing(i dont want her getting ill) and we have just got over a period when most of us pig out a little. sorry i have waffled but i am really mad with my ex. is he right or should i just let her enjoy being a kid?
