My son is 19 months old and I catch him crying in his sleep quite often. Like last night he must have done it 3 different times. He isnt actually awake because I go in and check but he will be tossing and turning and almost like letting out one big cry in pain and then its over. But the one time last night he cried a few times so i went in and picked him up to hug him for a few minutes and as soon as I did he was ok but I heard his stomach bubbling and then he let out gas. I guess that it is a possibility he had gas pains but this happens a few times a week. Does it seem weird? I asked the DOC and she said thats normal....? But I have never heard other parents talking about it.

Ok I've made the mistake of laying with her to put her to sleep since she was born. She just turned 3 two weeks ago. How can I break her of this? She's on a pretty good schedule, usually asleep between 8:30 and 9:30 every night. I have tried slowly one step at a time leaving but it's just not working. Like, for the first week I laid on the floor beside her bed, the next week I'll lay in the middle of the room, and so on until I'm finally out of her room.. It's just not working, she thinks I'm playing a game and she wants to play too. She has a night light and is very comfortable sleeping in her room. She just wont go to sleep by herself.. What do I do?? Should I worry about this now or wait until she is just a little bit older? If I should wait then when is enough, enough? She'll be starting preschool this September and I want her to be broke of this before then..

I have a 11 months old girl and my son will be 3 in march. they both wake up around 5 - 5:30 AM. My sone goes to sleep anywhere from 7:30 - 8:00PM and sleeps throught the night. I've tried letting him stay up to 10:00pm and he still wakes up at the same time. He doesn't usualy nap anymore during the day unless we go for a car ride then he falls asleep right away in the car. But that doesn't help either. For my daughter, i've tried to leep her up passed 8:00pm but she's soooo tired so she usualy goes down around 7:30 - 8:00pm and she sleeps through the niight too. But 5:30am is way to early tfor them to be getting up.
How can I get them to sleep longer?

My 3 year old son has no concentration, when he is spoken to he will focus on something else alot of the time, usually when the television is on, I've tried turning it off, but then he'll find something else to focus on. It gets very fustrating especially when I'm trying to teach him things. What can i do to make him concentrate in what I'm saying. Also he finds it difficult taking NO for an anwser, and usually ends up having tantrums.

My 18 month old for the past week has been getting up in the middle of the night to walk around and mess with things. Is this normal? I have to put the gate up and lock her in now. She takes 1 nap around 1pm everyday and goes to bed around 9pm. Nothing has changed at all, why is she doing this?

I have a two year old who will be three in May, she is still not potty trained. I've tried alot of different methods and I was wondering what method has worked for your kids? I have another one on the way, who will be here in just two months, so I'd REALLY like for her to at least get idea of going potty by then. I don't see her getting fully trained in 2 months though..lol. I've tried alot of things, including letting her in the bathroom with me, sitting her down on the potty seat, I think she's has slight idea, but I'm still very clueless how to get her to actually go in the potty. Thanks if anyone can help!

Well my 3 year old son, can sometimes be very noisy it's like if he likes to wake him up. And my 4 month baby, can sometimes get alittle cranky but his a sweet baby he always wakes up smiling.. But if he is alone in the room my son will go to the baby's crib and turn on his toy, scream at him, or he would come to the room slaming the door, he can sometimes get out of control.. and i don't know what to do so he can stay still.. Because he as alot of toy, a big backyard, he can sometimes be still but is like if his favorite game is "waking the baby"..

We did not have any problems with our 1st child. For some reason she will go to the toilet to urinate , however , she will not go let her stool out. We have tried the sticker method, big sis, a smaller seat, time out and even left her roaming the house in the buff. And nothing has worked. I`m out of ideas and very frustrated. We`ve thought about giving up and letting someone else take over. Does this sound like something we need to do. She obviously knows what she does is wrong and still does it. I don`t think we favor oneover the other and when one buys something the other has something in their hand. Can some one please offer some insight on what we can try?

She refuses and screams. She stays up (I swear!!) until 6 AM. We'll start preparing her for bed around 9pm (bath, snack w/e) and she just refuses to lay down and sleep. HELP!!!! We hold her, rock her, sing, read, lights off, lights on. We try not to give her naps but by 6-7pm she is such a screaming whiner that we either HAVE to give her one or she goes off and falls asleep by her self and wakes up 2 hours later reduvinized and ready to stay up until six all over again! Nothing will help. And *then* we *all* end up sleeping until early afternoon due to lack of sleep the night before. Can anyone help me? I am begging, Please!!!

My child is always in things no matter how much I tell him "NO", I read that spanking is not good for your childs development, so what do you do to make them know you mean business?
