A vote for checking with State Dept. and a book from library/book store and probably a good idea to pick your neighbors' brain.

Some neighbors may be opinion about having a daycare next door. It's good for business to find out about it ahead of time.

Hope this helps.

Check on your states home page they should have a link the Dept of family services. The information that is needed to apply for your registration or license should be in there. Advertise in the paper or on Craig's list if it is in your area.

If you have a friend that understands business well, ask them. If not, talk to a business consultant. There are a lot of questions to be answered and you don't want your business to fail, do you?

P.S. Remember, advertising will make or kill your business!
