She might have eaten something? chewed on a stuffed toy and ingested some of it?
That is the only thing I can think of.. if it happens again or if she is in any discomfort.. take her to a doctor.

I agree that the only time I've seen anything like that from my twin 2 years olds, was when they ate something without me catching it. One years olds are infamous for it. So, don't worry too much unless it becomes a pattern. Check around the house and the floor to make sure you're not overlooking what it could have been.

that's ok ... children & adults can't digest hair in their digestive system. Make sure you give your child plenty of fluids & fiber so child can cleans out their body of such problems. Tip diet & exercise (active play) helps stool form better. Avoid additives, sugar blabla - bad for health. If in doubt get a sample of the stool & get it looked at by your doctor ASAP. Cheers, 99

Respectfully, small black hair-like fibers in a baby's feces is not normal which you knew, or should have known, or you would not be writing to Yahoo! Answers.

The baby may have ingested something and/or it may be a worm infestation.

Take the stool sample and the baby to a hospital clinic or a private pediatrician's office for analysis and an examination immediately.

Failure to seek prompt medical attention for a baby is considered child abuse by neglect and subjects the baby to removal from the home and being put into foster care-- don't let this happen to you.

She most likely ate something she found on the floor! Tasty I know at least your baby thinks so. Other wise has she eaten any stringy fruit or veggies lately??
