I am beginning to wonder if mine isnt getting enough sleep, but the schedule seems pretty normal to me, He is up at 8 am, taking a nap by 1 pm, sleeps 2 hours (so he is up at 3 pm then in bed at 9 pm. Should he maybe be in bed by 8 pm? He just seems a little more cranky then normal and he is not sick.

He is 16 months old. It's mostly the way he plays. He loves climbing chairs and ripping every bit of paper he can get his hands on, and his sister's pictures and paper dolls. He also loves to bang and hit everything. I had girls so I don't know what to tell my daughter when she questions if this is normal behavior for his age. Any opinions? Please don't answer with suggestions of how to keep things out of his reach, I want to know if the behavior is age appropriate or not. Thanks.

I have a 16 month old boy and he still eats pureed food. The only time he would eat regular food is, if we are eating. But, again it's only for 2 min.s and then he get tired of it. I tried giving him small cubes of cooked veggies too. He would only take 1 or 2 bytes and that's about it. He's still finding difficulty to swallow even small cubes of cooked veggies. Since he has this habit of throwing up, even for a slightest thing that stuck in his throat or if he feels uncomfortable he brings out all what he had prior to that.

He generally has been a very poor eater and he even had weight gaining issues at one point. Therefore I'm afraid that he might not eat even what he's eating right now, if I completely stop giving him pureed food. At the same time I feel like now he's getting board of it too. I like to try some new recipes/ideas to see if he would like it and to see if he would have more appetite for food. So if someone can give me some advice it is greatly appreciated.

whilst excreting clear yet bubbly saliva. My wife said to put her on the toilet she appears to be vomiting, but no...I have seen this happenning before at least twice maybe two years ago. This is not vomitting. For me it appeared to be more like a stroke - if you see what I mean. She was in severe pain and looked to be passing off. I am scared. Does anyone know what this could be? taking her to a doctor is going to be futile as I know they are going to simply dismiss me. Please help. Thank you.

He is in Pampers Baby Dry with their 12 hour guarantee but consistently wakes up wet now he is sleeping through from 8:30 till 7:30. He is in size 4+ but only weighs about 22lbs as he was a small bubby so can't really go into the next size up for extra absorbancy.

He drinks the right amount for his age and I don't really want to restrict his fluids at such a young age.

Does anyone have any recommendations for other brands that are more absorbant than Pampers.

We are based in the UK

I just took my 20 month old daughter to school for the first time yesterday and I feel kinder of funny. I am excited that she goes to school and at the same time I am worried sick about how she is there. I know she gets along with other kids but I just get worried. Yesterday I called twice to check on her but I know I am becoming a pest. They have assured me she is ok but I can’t help wondering how she is. My wife says with time I will learn to accept it. How did you feel when you took your kids to school for the first time?

When he gets to his home or to our house he strips down to his diaper, and gets upset if we try to redress him.

My 4 year old stepson (who lives with us and is with me all day) started giving up his naps about 6 months ago. Problem is he desperately still needs them. He is cranky by 6 and sometimes falls asleep on the couch and will not wake up to eat dinner or get a bath. This happens especially if we have to go somewhere in the car in the evening. Then he misses dinner and his bath.

I am not able to reward positive eating habits, because he absolutely refuses anything else. My husband fusses at him at meals because he refuses to try anything else we offer. (We've tried everything - he doen't even like PB&J's!) He tells our son that we will continue to serve the leftovers that he refused until he tries them. I am the opposite - I am offering desert and candy if he eats something new. We've tried letting him help prepare the food he eats, not making a big deal about food selections, just about everything possible. Seems like neither of us are doing a good job at this, from what I have read. I could really use some strong, detailed advise. Any book recomendation, also.

When she gets angry she drops on her back and bangs the back of her head and starts screaming. Or when she is told no, she bangs her head on the wall or a blunt object. She has brusies which are very small, but it startles us so much.
