After a trying day like I had today with my two year old, I feel so bad. I've alreadly been through this stage with my other three older girls, but this has been such a challenge. Anyone have any similar feelings? What did you do on bad days to feel better?

I am reluctant to let him go just yet. He will be 3 in April and I am a stay at home mom. I am also very worried that him not having any playmates is going to have a negative effect on him. We live 4 hours from our family and close friends. He is very social with anyone and everyone and also we take him to the playland in the mall to hang with others a few times a week. My main question, how long should I wait before putting him in preschool?

My daughter is 20 months old and i was just wondering when she would be old enough to start colouring on paper? Would she use crayons first? She doesn't put things in her mouth like she used to as much, but I think she might draw on the walls and other things too as well as the paper. Not sure.

I talk to my 11 month old like he is old enough to understand stuff because I know some day he will understand. I think that telling my son where we are going, what we are doing, and why we are doing it, etc, helps him with vocabulary and he already says "nite nite" and "bye bye." I'm I trying to hard to teach him stuff or is this a good thing?

I need help. My 13 month old is allergic to something, but I dont know what. He has a nasty rash all over his body, worse on the face. It wont go away! This has happened before when he was about 6 months old, he had (or atleast I was pretty sure he had) an allergic reaction to the laundry detergent (sorry spelling). Well, we changed the detergent and it went away.....fast forward to now....my husband did laundry (never ask a husband to do laundry) and he bought the same detergent! I am in the process of rewashing everything I own, but this rash will not budge....I dont know what to do....I have tried everything and it wont go away....I feel like a horrible mother and I feel like I failed him. It's so hopeless and I cry all the time. What am I doing wrong? What can I do to make this right? It looks so bad, and so itchy and painful.....also....what about exema? Some of my husbands family members have exema....does it pass on....? Please people, be nice....and please help...

My son turned 4 last July and has been potty trained since 3. He was doing great! I never had a problem with him wetting his pants or anything. About a month ago, he started wetting his pants, never soiling, just wetting and he NEVER wets the bed. I took him to see if he had a bladder infection and he didn't. I can't figure this out. Around the same time this started happening, my daughter had to have surgery and then a week later she almost bled to death and had surgery again. Could this have anything to do with his behaviour? I can't figure out how but it's the only changes that occured at the same time. Please help me!

My husband and I took our 27 month old son to a developmental specialist today. She diagnosed him as "at risk" for having autism. Now we have to follow up with a autism specialist. He was born 6 weeks early and had a vsd(hole in the heart) repaired when he was 8 months old. He can draw a circle, say draw, this and dada. He's a good listener when i say "no" or "don't touch" or "bring that to mommy", he knows where to go when I tell him he needs a diaper change. He plays with toys like a normal child. He seems bright. He's not exposed to other children. He also has it pacifer alot of the day and when he sleeps. The things that concern me are, he flaps his hands and arms like he's trying to fly which is an autistic trait, and he has very limited speech. The specialist said that he did not make eye contact with her or turn around and look at her when she called his name. Most of the time he looks me in the eye when i talk and he responds when i call him. Am i freaking out over nothing?

I had a half shot of vodka in a glass of orange juice. I set it down to go do something and my 13 month old took a sip of it when I wasn't looking. I turned around just in time to see her set the cup down. She doesn't seem intoxicated and she didn't drink a lot. Her Pediatrition's office is closed already.. what should I do?

Ive been "seeing" this girl for four months now. Were not dating, were just hooking up alot. I have a four year old son, hes mom left us right after he was born. This girl know that were not or never will be more than what we are now and were both ok with that. Well lately my son has been asking for her all the time. Shes so nice to him and she really cares about him alot, i honestly think she even loves him. Everything was fine until 3 days ago when he called her mommy, right away he corrected himself and said i mean ashley but its scaring me, hes so attached to her and i know its not going anywhere. Please tell me what you think i should do about this.

Now i have tod him 'no', 'don't touch' and numerous other phrases, i have slapped him on his hand and bottom, not too light but not too hard; i have stood over him looking very angry....and all he does is laugh at me and go after it again. i can't keep putting everything out of the way, i ahve no more room left on my high shelves!!
